Regulating marriage, sexual behavior, and matters of public health and norms has traditionally been a realm belonging to the states, which is why states have always granted marriage licenses - not the Federal Government. Yet, this didn't seem to come into the decision making process of SCOTUS at all. It was very strange to me. Next, are they going to rule that laws against sodomy are irrationally prejudiced? I believe they are based on the same principles by which states claim to have authority not to grant marriage licenses to homosexuals.

Kennedy like all SCOTUS judges is an activist judge, the problem is we all understood the other 4 that voted for this travesty but, Kennedy was appointed by a republican, just as Roberts gave us Obamacare... also a republican appointee.
