  • Hmm... Well, you said:

Cast her out? This isn't heaven or her home. And I think her presence undermines the Body...

    and

I'm not advocating those who disdain marriage be removed, only those who pretend to honor the object of our adoration, but reject something fundamental to its nature.
Well, that's debatable,....since a Unitarian view (some do of course hold to Christ's 'divinity' but its not exactly as orthodox creeds claim it) does respect Jesus as God's human/divine Son,...but you see we go back to the Christological debates of many centuries. I've had my own Unitarian/Arian threads and spared in plenty of Unitarian/Trinitarian discussions, and you know how those go :) - in any case,...each are entitled to their own 'Christology', and respective threads are a better place then here to go toe to toe ;)
I suppose she is limited in her theology, and in other ways, which gives her 'wings' here little room to fly and doesn't appear to want to wade thru our longer posts and resource links to study up on particular subjects. That narrows the view even more, being 'stuck', without a desire to learn more, 'theologically'/'philosophically' speaking
Hmmmmm  ;) - well, there are 'christians' who do not accept the 'divinity' of Christ as formulated in the orthodox creeds,...we could debate over whether they're Christians til the cows come home. I myself have expounded very Unitarian-based views, but am metaphysically versatile enough to also understand 'trinitarian' views, and many other views within the whole spectrum of Christology. The divinity of Jesus has always been a hot potato, apexing with the Arian Controversy, and so on.
Wow! Congratulations! I'm very happy for you. And Joanna. :)

I'd bet you're not allowed to share it publicly as part of the contest rules, but can you share it privately?
I thought about that, but the thought was too uncomfortable so I banished it. :chuckle:

And you're welcome. Time for me to call it a night, I've got some reading to do.
Glad to hear it. As for my school work habits, I'm all over the map. I do my creative best when I work hard when the muse visits, but overall I do better with some imposed discipline. For example, I have two classes that require a lot of reading. One class requires online submissions on Thursdays and Sundays, which means I have to get that reading done on a regular timeline. And I do. The other class, I'm on my own for the discipline and we just have four exams, bam bam bam bam. I've gone all week saying "I have to get that social psy reading done..." and still end up doing it all in one go, which, fascinating as it is, isn't easy. I love social psy, though. I have five classes in total, four of which require a lot of reading, and one I'm skating through with very little reading.
I love stats, those don't account much for the extremes we get of heat and cold. without the ice cold our avg temps would be pretty darn high. I contend still, that our humidity is worse despite the #s
All of the above. He's a British ex-pat who thinks he's an expert on America. This is one of a few reasons I finally put the smarmy little putz on ignore.
