The scriptures say the sacrifices of animals atone. The scriptures say that is how God forgives us. Why are you so dizzy?
The dizzy one is you.
The scriptures say the sacrifices of animals atone. The scriptures say that is how God forgives us. Why are you so dizzy?
No matter how much you try to twist it, the bottom line is that the twelve apostles did NOT go around preaching the DEATH, BURIAL and RESURRECTION of Christ as part of their gospel of the kingdom.
- I have not slandered you.
- You do not know what slander is.
They did NOT understand that Christ had to die when they were going around ISRAEL preaching the gospel of the kingdom.Luk 18:31-34 KJV Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished. (32) For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on: (33) And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again. (34) And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken. How much more CLEARLY could God have made it?
- They understood NONE OF THESE THINGS.
- This saying was HID FROM THEM.
- NEITHER KNEW THEY THE THING WHICH WERE SPOKEN.
Nobody can slander someone in WRITTEN communication. So AGAIN, you do not even know what slander means. You do slander me. Even you saying I don't know what slander is.
No kidding. Who said otherwise?Jesus had to die and he taught that he did.
No kidding. Who said otherwise?I gave you many scriptures where Jesus taught he had to die.
Is Luke 18 also missing from your Bible?I even gave you scriptures that have the disciples understanding it.
The TRUTH is that they did NOT understand it and that it was HID from them. THEREFORE, it is OBVIOUS that they were not preaching it to Israel as part of their gospel of the kingdom.Anyone not understanding that does not change the truth.
You deny CLEAR and UNAMBIGUOUS scripture. No matter how many times you claim it does.

That's the most intelligent thing that you've said in this thread.blah blah blah
I strictly tell the truth about you.You slander me is my speaking according to the scriptures. The scriptures didn't have you libel me.
Is Luke 18 missing from your Bible? They understood Jesus said he would die and rise again.
That's the most intelligent thing that you've said in this thread.

Is Luke 18 missing from your Bible?
I simply let the scripture speak for itself. With your reasoning, Jesus should have came here to earth, lived, died, and then came back and taught everything.
Not when He sent them out in Luke 9, He didn't!Jesus taught to believe in him and that he would die.
Even in Acts 1-8 you will not find "the preaching of the cross" as GOOD NEWS. I know you're attempt to force that into the scripture, but it's not there. Then he died and it was taught by all the apostles.
Jesus taught it.The SCRIPTURE says that the twelve did NOT understand His death (let alone His resurrection) and THEREFORE it is obvious to any logical person that they could NOT have been preaching His death during their preaching to Israel before that.
What exactly do you think that proves for your case? Not when He sent them out in Luke 9, He didn't!
He didn't teach them about that until Luke 18!
The GOOD NEWS IS Jesus Christ.Even in Acts 1-8 you will not find "the preaching of the cross" as GOOD NEWS. I know you're attempt to force that into the scripture, but it's not there.
Jesus taught it.
I gave many scriptures to you showing that Jesus taught it. In addition, I have scriptures that say they understood.
Luk 18:31-34 KJV Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished. (32) For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on: (33) And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again. Jesus taught it and it doesn't matter if you say they didn't understand it, even though the scriptures do say they understood, which you dismiss.
You are one of the most illogical posters here on TOL. It's no wonder that your "story" does not match what the Bible actually says.Jesus taught it and it doesn't matter if you say they didn't understand it, even though the scriptures do say they understood, which you dismiss.
That is COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT as to whether the TWELVE were preaching something that THEY DID NOT UNDERSTAND and was HID FROM THEM.We can read what Jesus taught and get to understand it if we obey the commands Jesus teaches.
Again, NOTHING to do with the question at hand.Jesus says he lives with those who obey his teachings, and it is to them that he gives understanding.
Uh, no, RD quoted scripture saying they did NOT understand.
Why do you deny what scripture says?
Just read what Jesus taught and believe.
Don't worry about what you think doubting Thomas understood.
First you argued that Jesus didn't teach his death.
And you said no one knew.
I gave many scriptures that show Jesus taught he would die.
I gave scripture where John the baptizer knew.
There is one gospel that saves.
It was taught to all.
Believe and obey Jesus Christ.
He taught the way to get saved and then shed his blood for his will, the covenant.
John 1:29 John the baptizer proclaimed Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.
Jesus preached to his disciples that he would have to die.
Matthew 16:21 From that time on Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and that He must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.
Matthew 17:12 But I tell you that Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but have done to him whatever they wished. In the same way, the Son of Man will suffer at their hands."
Mark 10:33 "Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and scribes. They will condemn Him to death and will deliver Him over to the Gentiles,
Luke 18:32 He will be delivered over to the Gentiles and will be mocked and insulted and spit upon.
John 3:14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,
John 12:32 And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself."
John 12:33 He said this to indicate the kind of death He was going to die.
Luke 9:22 And he said, "The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life."
Luke 9:44 "Let these words sink into your ears: The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men."
Luke 24:44 Jesus said to them, "These are the words I spoke to you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms."
EVEN NON BELIEVERS KNEW JESUS PREACHED HE WOULD DIE AND RISE AGAIN.
Matthew 27:63 "Sir," they said, "we remember that while He was alive that deceiver said 'After three days I will rise again.'
What else are you going to say?You are one of the most illogical posters here on TOL. It's no wonder that your "story" does not match what the Bible actually says.
They spent a lot of time teaching to listen to Jesus, to do what he says, to believe what he says. God also testified to what they said by allowing them to do many miracles. You think that THEY, who did NOT understand His death when HE explained it to them, were preaching this their whole ministry to Israel.
That is COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT as to whether the TWELVE were preaching something that THEY DID NOT UNDERSTAND and was HID FROM THEM.
Again, NOTHING to do with the question at hand.
Cherry picking verses doesn't help your argument.
Luke 18 clearly states that the disciples DID NOT UNDERSTAND that Jesus had to die.
