Over and over again...in lots of different ways. I like these.
2 Timothy 1:10
But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
Isaiah 43:11
I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.
Isaiah 45:21
Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the Lord? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.
1 Timothy 2:3
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
1 Timothy 4:10
For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
Titus 3:6
Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
The word "firstborn" here is used as Preeminent or MOST HIGH.
Colossians 1:15
Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
Some of these refer directly to Jehovah, the Father. Others I have taken apart and explained what they mean---that BOTH the Father (God) and the Son are subjects in the sentence. But you IGNORE what I post and just continue to call me names or attack my character. You are a LOUSY discussion participant.
Why DON'T you respond to my points? If I am so pathetically wrong, do you have ANY desire to help me understand?
Here are, once again, my comments on your scriptures that you claim show Jesus is God....
2 Timothy 1:10 does not show that Jesus is God. It shows that he is our Savior. He is the one that God SENT to be our Savior. God is the SOURCE of salvation, and He has used Jesus as THE MEANS BY WHICH God saves.
Isaiah 43:11 simply shows that Jehovah is God and He is the Savior, because all power and authority comes from Him. He is the SOURCE of salvation. He can save mankind by any means He wishes. He chose to use His Son Jesus as that means.
Isaiah 45:21 also shows that Jehovah is the Most High God and our Savior. He is the SOURCE of salvation. Jesus has said that he could do nothing on his own...just what he sees the Father doing, and he does what the Father tells him to do.
I Timothy 2:3 refers to JEHOVAH, the God and Father of Jesus. As does
I Timothy 4:10.
Doesn't
Titus 3:6 refer to the Father (God) who "shed (or, poured) His spirit" upon us THROUGH Jesus Christ our Savior? It's not all about Jesus. His Father is of prime importance. He GAVE Jesus the privilege of being the one to save mankind.
The term "firstborn" does not mean "Most High." It means
THE FIRST BORN, or the first one to be brought into existence. Jesus was Jehovah's first created person, created by Jehovah alone. Everything else was created THROUGH Jesus.
How can you ignore the scripture you quoted from Colossians where it says that Jesus is not God, but the IMAGE of God?
Reply to these comments if you are able, without casting aspersions against my character or the validity of what the WTS says. We are talking about Scriptures, and you should be able to REASON with me concerning them.
