Claims that never saw a court or a conviction. What we do know from the Lewinsky scandal is that at the very least he wanted to be Kennedy in the worst way and he managed it. Or, he was at best a deeply flawed human being. Did that mean he couldn't be effective as president? Apparently not, which drove his enemies crazy.

Similarly, we know Trump is at best morally compromised and willfully so. But does that mean he can't be effective as president? No, it doesn't.

What it does mean though is those who made a great deal out of the moral compromise of Clinton and then supported Trump, with every reason to understand his character, were and remain hypocritical.

However, in hindsight. Clinton should have been forced out, for his relationship with Monica Lewinsky. If it happened today I think his support would have disappeared.

Certainly ... the difference is intelligence, competency and temperament. The GOP has no one but themselves to blame for using the sexual history of a POTUS as a means to work towards impeachment. Also, the country was 100% safer under Clinton because he was bright enough to understand that spouting off about the prospective use of nuclear weapons was a serious threat not to be used as a means to distract.
