Well, you really shouldn't be proud of any of this. In fact, you should really be more than a bit embarrassed but hey, prob too much to ask. You've gossiped away about someone who you call a friend. Why do you even call her a friend if you're just going to talk behind her back as you've done on here? Is that the "Christian" thing to do? Is that what friends do in general?

Invite her here. It wasn't necessary at all to talk about your friend in the manner you did as it didn't even make a point. Plenty of people from all sorts of political persuasions have been faithful to their spouses or had affairs so all you did was gossip. Simple as that.

Leftists have always had far more of something that they always accuse their enemies of having: self-righteousness. When someone has that, there is no limit to the self-justification they can dredge up for anything they do. Literally, anything. From blatant, deliberate lying, to forcing their opinions upon others by legislation or by force, to mass murder. History proves this, as every mass-murdering government has been socialistic (leftist).
In their minds, nothing they ever do can possibly be wrong simply because they are the ones doing it. Because they're godless, they’ve granted themselves the absolute moral authority of God Himself. Being "God," they can't possibly be wrong.
Of course the hypocrisy is, if YOU tried to do the exact same things that would make you the most evil thing in the universe. But when THEY do it…it’s righteous, just, holy and good. That quote from C.S. Lewis about self-righteous tyrants applies here.
But all of that we already know; it's in evidence every day on TOL and everywhere now.
Our dilemma is what we’re to do about it because it can only get worse. People are getting fed up with the Left, in all its aspects, forcing a split that they somehow believe they'll come out on top of.
Historically, there are only three ways to deal with such people: avoid them (pretty much impossible, they won’t allow it), submit to them (not likely), or . . .
I believe current trends indicate that curtain #3 will open pretty soon. They're asking for it. No people with recourse to defending its interests will allow its legal rights and established liberties to be threatened forever. I absolutely DO NOT look forward to it happening but things cannot go on like this forever. Anything that can't go on forever, won't.

Yes, I was reading an article the other day about a coming civil war. I just pray the Lord to intervene and open some of these liberal eyes.
I was also reading where the DNC co chair was talking about government regulating corporate pay structures. One can't get much more socialistic. Our founding fathers would be turning in their graves. Big government is the exact opposite of what they risked their lives and died for.
I think that is why people wish to overlook Trump's downfalls. He certainly doesn't seem to be a big government type of guy. Also standing against the abortion debate.
While people tend to overlook sin, I know God won't.

It really irks me when someone say to me "He is not the President!" and my retort is "Well, please tell me who is the actual President so that I can address him/her with his/her real name instead of calling him/her President Trump." They no longer speak to me.
It used to irk me also when they used to say the same thing about President Obama. I was so hopeful when Obama became President, I really was, then he took office, and the rest is
