Trump sez: Transgenders B gone!

What is the basic disagreement here? (I know, "NOW he asks...")

Is it Dozer's half-serious claim that adulterers should be put to death today? (I think it's deliberate absurdity just to prove a point but he can tell me if I'm wrong)

Or is it where personal responsibility starts and ends?

Both?

Yeah I've chimed in lots of times but I've never been sure what the main disagreement is, and since this topic is now measured in YEARS and gets nowhere...someone tell me?

I believe the following should be capital crimes and if they were punished harshly, swiftly and publicly would no longer be the social disasters they are today, and in fact would be incredibly rare, due to the deterrent effect:

adultery
divorce
pornography
abortion
homosexuality
child molestation
rape

i'm dead serious

I know what you mean. I was letting it slide for some time thinking it was some pretend reality. Then I realized they might be serious when I saw they were advocating executing a 10 year old boy.

two ten year old boys, who deliberately and methodically planned and carried out the kidnapping, torture (including sexual torture) and murder of a two year old boy chosen at random

read up on them and then come back and argue that they didn't earn the death penalty, that they don't deserve to be executed

He'll tell me if I've read him wrong. But if one is serious about adultery needed the death penalty, if one quotes the Law for that then so does every other sin. At some point in our lives, every single one of us would be on death row.

you too?

you don't recognize a distinction between civil law and salvific law? :nono:

Making adultery a black and white capital crime would simply reduce the amount of people getting married.

that's certainly possible, i suppose - it may even seem likely if you have an iq comparable to that of a chimp

most intelligent people would expect that one would see a reduction in the incidence of adultery

i would suggest that you pray for guidance from God on this one glory - there's no way you'll take anything i have to say about it seriously

i'll pray that God guides you in your confusion

You sound like the Pharisee in Luke. "The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. ...

Whenever I hear someone claim to pray that God guide someone else in their "confusion", (especially, when they voice it aloud) they have proven they wish to be heard by men, not God.

Knock it off, Doser. I've watched people do that to you and I've watched you dismiss it just as I do you now. I'm not into any of these stupid games.

Just show me where Paul supports the death penalty for adultery. Show me where the Laws of Moses are to be enforced on the Gentiles. I'll wait while you climb down off your rocking horse.....:chew:

or perhaps you just prefer to have the world awash in perversion

I don't like perversion, but making laws won't help.

And trying to kill them all would be an impossible task. Not enough courts in the land. Not enough lawyers...none if you guys want to kill the ones that get perverts off. Maybe if you found a pervert gene, you could just get them while still in the womb.

You know we live in a world of sin, don't you? You understand that things will get worse and worse as the Day of our Lord draws near? Better get out there and preach the Gospel to the lost instead of killing them before they get a chance to hear.

Intelligent people thought Prohibition would work, too.
I don't like perversion, but making laws won't help.

as i showed you:

Cirrhosis death rates for men were 29.5 per 100,000 in 1911 and 10.7 in 1929. Admissions to state mental hospitals for alcoholic psychosis declined from 10.1 per 100,000 in 1919 to 4.7 in 1928.

Arrests for public drunkennness and disorderly conduct declined 50 percent between 1916 and 1922. For the population as a whole, the best estimates are that consumption of alcohol declined by 30 percent to 50 percent.
