Since radical Islam has threatened to murder the President for killing Bin Laden, what makes you think not releasing the photos make them hate less?

Why not? I'd like to see he suffered every bit as much as the victims of 9/11.

I can assure you that he did not suffer as much as the victims of 9/11.
I think what you need to do is find bin Laden's family and torture them all in front of, say, one of the children's mothers. Would you feel better then? Or maybe we should tie his 14 year old son to a post in the middle of Time Square so you can go to down. Sound good?

To put that into perspective, Bin Laden was a man who wanted to be a martyr. What he received is what he wanted to receive, death for Allah. He was long prepared for the day, and I believe eager for it.

In contrast, just image sitting in a passenger jet as you know it is about to be flown into a skyscraper. You have time to make phone calls.

Many of those victims died instantly. Osama was taken down by Navy SEALS. Ever had SEALS storm your house and incite a 40 minute firefight?

Meh, I don't see how having the military eliminate a terrorist leader has anything to do with what you're talking about.

Then why was he hiding? Why did people in the compound put up a fight? Why did one of them use a human shield? You really think that bunch was happy to die? I just think the martyr bit is a ruse.

I once was captured by U.S. Army Rangers, and that was quite an interesting experience I wouldn't want to repeat. :chuckle:

Yea, I couldn't imagine the fear that was running through that house when the SEALS showed up.

No, but Osama has been in a firefight situation for the last 30 years or more. This man was psychotic in the true sense of the word.

Your desire to see how the man died leads me to believe that you are experiencing an emotional state similar to those that watch torture-porn flicks.

Wildly indifferent. I don't plan on ever thinking about him again. He wasn't worth the water he displaced.

I agree with you there but I bet you he felt fear, suffering and pain in the end.

Nah, not really. I'm not going to lie, I would like to see how he died but not in some terrible dominatrix sense :chuckle: . It was a military operation with highly, highly trained operatives. I'm fine with that.

I don't think so, I don't want or need to see them, for closure or as evidence. But I'm okay with it if they do.

I'd prefer it left as-is... No physical reminder. No "final image" needed. No grave, no pictures. Dead and gone.

As far as photos for people who need "proof," I don't believe that photos would make any difference. He could be carted from door to door for a physical inspection by each and every citizen, and it'd still "smell fishy" to some.
