if you think the purpose of marriage is to protect the children, it is hard to talk about marriage without talking about the children

Chrys, should a couple or individual who is purchasing a home that includes a garage be required to own or purchase a car?

. . . this has been demonstrated . . . repeatedly . . . to you to be fallacious reasoning (an non sequitur to be exact) . . . which is a position ONLY YOU seem to hold.

yes but it may not be good for the child
. . . "may not be good" is not the same as . . . "IS bad" . . . why can't you admit . . . since you were given evidence of the fact . . . that children being raised by heterosexuals (single or couple) may not be good for a child either?

no logic there

Hmm. You just admitted in post #1583 that not all married couples can conceive, nor should it be be a requirement for a married couple to have children. Therefore asserting that the purpose of marriage is to protect the child is redundant, as has been stated to you across this thread.

See the logic now?
