The Holy Spirit is a Person. He is not an "It." The Bible calls Him a He.
Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but
the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.Now
He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the
Spirit is, because

This and many other verses that talk about God and each of the members of the Trinity show that God is masculine. Masculine theistic terminology dominates the scriptures.
He has all the attributes of personhood, performs the actions of a person, and has personal relationships.
