Look at this guy, Mr. Horatio Sanz. He's accused, I'm not going to say whether he is guilty or not, but do you understand that this man presents himself as a fun and safe individual to the world?

It's easy to imagine that whenever it was that someone, especially someone close to Mr. Sanz, heard or thought that maybe he is a violent criminal, that the first response would be disbelief and resistance.

He seems so friendly, and again, safe.

The actual violent criminals who infiltrated the Catholic priesthood, apparently making it all the way up to the office of a bishop (cf. 1st Timothy 3:1), were like this, able to present themselves to the world as safe, friendly, even fun people.
