LA, you don't believe this so why are you here?

I do not believe the RCC formulation of the trinity.

Obviously you do.

However the Father, the Son, and the Ho;ly Spirit are God.

You deny the Father made His son, a man, to be God.

You can not understand that, but it is scripture.

Act 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Heb 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
Heb 1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

How can you deny the way of salvation for believers today is Acts ch 2:38 and yet call yourself a Christian?

We are all the offspring of God.

Even the Gentiles knew it.

Acts 17:28
For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Acts 17:29
Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

Hebrews 2:17
Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

1 CORINTHIANS 15

24Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

25For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

26The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

27For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.

28And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

I do not believe the RCC formulation of the trinity.

We've all known that since 2009.

Contrary to what you and Roman Catholics assert, the Trinitarian formulations were developed before the RCC existed and were championed by an Alexandrian believer, Athanasias against Arius. Alexandria, Egypt was the birthplace of both the Athanasian orthodoxy and the Arian heresy, not Rome.

Obviously you do.

I believe that the Word was GOD before becoming man, as the Scriptures affirm.

However the Father, the Son, and the Ho;ly Spirit are God.

You deny the Father made His son, a man, to be God.

GOD is uncreated being. It is impossible to create uncreated being.

If GOD took an ordinary man, as you say, and made him GOD, then all you have is a man....not GOD. GOD is unmade.

You can not understand that, but it is scripture.

It is you who lacks understanding.

Act 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

The human nature and body of Jesus were created and had a beginning, yet the person who Jesus is, was not. The two natures were united in the man Jesus and the name YHVH and Mashiach were confirmed by GOD upon the GOD/man Jesus in the resurrection.

Your faulty heretical Arian hermeneutical lens is the reason for your consistent misinterpretation of Scripture.

How can you deny the way of salvation for believers today is Acts ch 2:38 and yet call yourself a Christian?

Actually, your question has nothing to do with the question with which Tambora began this thread, but, once again, you have blended GOD's plan with restoring the Davidic Kingdom to Israel, with GOD's plan of extending grace to the nations during Israel's rejection of that Kingdom. Context, context!!!
Acts 2:38 is directed to Israel/Jews who were complicit with the murder of their promised King and Messiah. There were no gentiles there on Shavuot/Pentecost, except proselytes.

Again, since you don't believe that the Lord Jesus is truly GOD, then, according to Tambora's request in the opening post, you don't belong in this thread.

What a fool, Lazy is...

This passage...

Act 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

...is NOT saying what it ONLY APPEARS TO be saying ON ITS' SURFACE.

For the "made" there is in the sense of AN APPOINTMENT.

Further, it is speaking of that in the sense of it's being AFTER and or BASED on a fact - the fact of the Resurrection; you gainsaying nitwit.

Just as Paul relates this same understanding when he relates that that same Jesus Who's resurrection proved He was the Christ; the same Jesus Who was Prophesied would come TO BE the Christ, had called Paul; in other words; had separated him unto his unique Apostleship among the nations.

Romans 1:1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, 1:2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: 1:5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

Study out how the word "made" is used throughout Acts, Lazy.

First impression, surface level readings of any word, phrase, and passage, is the mark of an amateur.

You're supposedly so fond of Hebrews - well, here; its' own knuckles to that thick, biased skull of yours :chuckle:

Hebrews 5:11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

.

There is your unbelief.

Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Rom 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

So you agree that Jesus was made both Lord and Christ.

Was He not both Lord and Christ before His birth according to you?

1Pe 3:22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

Tell me how a God can lose his powers and become a man, and what scriptures says so.

Let me remind you and Steko, that Steko introduced the subject to this thread.
