The thought of associating with loooooosers like this is one good reason not to smoke dope:

Are you currently a dope smoker, or have you been one in the past, and if so, why did you quit?

Do either of you have plans on fathering children?

The researchers found that being a marijuana smoker at the time of diagnosis was associated with a 70 percent increased risk of testicular cancer. The risk was particularly elevated (about twice that of those who never smoked marijuana) for those who used marijuana at least weekly and/or who had long-term exposure to the substance beginning in adolescence...

No. I'm not smoking dope. I would if I got too stressed out physically. I considered using pot vs Vicodin during my recovery. I fell from a five story building (free fell) on 12-13-11. But I've tried to go on without anything for the last year.

Washington/Colorado certainly are experiencing problems I'm sure.
I suppose its time for people like myself who've had experience with pot to step up and think about educating those who will be users.
A lot of pot smokers will get up in the morning and smoke their weed to start the day. If a guy wakes up to a coors light we have a problem. Pot does not impair the senses equally as the juice. But it does impair and kids/hippies/adults need to be educated that weed should be treated equally.
Thank you for your persistent thread here. It has made me consider in a more thoughtful way how this drug can and will become a negative in society just as alcohol for some has been destructive.
I suppose its time for people like myself who've had experience with pot to step up and think about educating those who will be users.

I'm all for understanding companies wanting their workers to be drug free; however they should also be testing for alcoholism as well. Who's more likely to have an accident: Someone who's high, or something that's drunk?
First off, it's not muzzie but Muslim. Would Christians like if I call them Xians? As for my faith, it's only strange because you deem it so. No different than Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoists, etc... As for whether I smoked weed, yes I did. Smoked and sold it for four years before I came into the military.

From the actual report:
"Men with a TGCT were more likely to be current marijuana smokers at the reference date compared with controls (odds ratio [OR], 1.7; 95% confidence interval [95% CI], 1.1-2.5)."
So again the 70% increase figure masks a huge uncertainty, with the calculated risk being as low as a few percent. ON top of that mathematical uncertainty, the authors point out that their report should not be taken as a firm result, but rather as an interesting hypothesis that needs someone to test. The reason is that although the main outcome appeared to be related to current marijana use, they didn't measure marijuana use. The only askes the sample to self-report their usage, with the obvious bias that those with cancer are more likely to report marijuana use.
SO we have another report based on a very small sample, with low power and a barely significant result, with the added problem that the authors point out a key bias to their work.

I walked into a public restroom yesterday in a nice retail establishment, and the smell of marijuana smoke was so heavy that dads that escorted their young sons into the restroom had to turn around for fear that their child would get hiiiiiigh on 2nd hand smoke.

You are a marijuana user aren't you gc? I mean one would think that those that are pushing a harmful drug onto society would partake in that drug himself.
I am not defending it but rather putting the matter into perspective. Regardless of how much you wish to support the tobacco industry, it is a FACT that second hand smoke harms others and has been attributed to being a factor in cases of SIDS.
Frankly, I couldn't care less if you lock yourself in a closet and smoke to your heart's content.
Nope ... I *personally* dislike weed more than I do your precious (and legal) cancer sticks. For myself, I would not use it even if it were legally prescribed for pain or cancer or any other condition. It makes me ill.

It's odd that you didn't mention that the 2nd hand marijuana smoke could have not only made these children hiiiiigh, but caused one of the 400,000-1 million children afflicted with this lung disorder in America to have an asthma attack.

I don't even partake in caffeine so a private, sample size of one, study is a no go.
But I am not a person who thinks that everything I disapprove of should be illegal. I think that grownups ought to be able to make grownup decisions about how they live their lives with minimal interference from governments and their overzealous law enforcement patsies. Thankfully, not everyone thinks like you do.

i because of the job i held worked around many,many people who used drugs. at where i worked we were drug tested,randomly about every 90 days. newer employes were tested more often(entire shift) until they were off 90 day probation.
i after i got to know many of these people could tell they were stoned out of their minds "when they took the test" so i ask them how they passed the test. they told me that they don't use the drugs that they test for i.e. marajauna,speed,ect.
so i ask them what they used and they told me all the drugs the typical urine test don't test for,mushrooms,acid,extacy,ect.,,,now i after learning to be very careful around these people would much rather be working with someone who was just smoking pot rather than dropping acid.
now i suppose that the manner of thinking is that no one used drugs but thats not reality. i live very close to the Texas Mexico border and so the "war on drugs is my back yard", and i view what Colorado and Washington is doing as a very intelligent thing(sounds dumb i know).
it is my opinion that not many years from now(unless Texas does the same)the front line in the war on drugs will be the Louisiana,Texas,Oklahoma,new Mexico,California borders(it will just shift that far north) so notice that these states (Colorado,Washington)are both due north of Texas and California. that is they realized that if they made it legal there is no need for the drug cartel's to smuggle drugs into their state.(smart move)
spend some time surfing YouTube and watch the shootouts ect. between the "marinas & cartel members",you will quickly become educated on the term "green-light" and figure out why the marinas wear mask and do not have any identification on,i.e.name tags,wallets,i.d.ect.
