A memorial for confederate soldiers exist in due to respect and resolution, created by union.
what so many dont get is the respect after the war which did exist to heal the country. such things still necessary.

Better is a chart with two axes, with social and economic views separated. The Nazis had some left economic policies but were very right wing on the social axis. A simple left-right axis hasn't really been a useful way to describe complex political principles.
But 'far right' commonly means socially right wing, and in this sense the Nazis were right wing fascists.

Do most neo-nazis have any idea what the 1933 Nazi Platform contained?
Trying to call them socialists seems akin to declaring the current Republican party pro-labor, pro-immigration, and pro-public works because of its late 19th century roots.
