I was a veterinary technician for 20 years. If a tick bite looks different than the norm I do get a bout of Doxycycline from my doc (and I've only had to do that once).
And I'd rather have cats that can be cats (outdoors chasing, hunting, etc...).
I think in this day and age too many folks run to a doctor for the least of things so now we have a LOAD of antibiotic-resistant varmints that are killing us softly.
