It is amazing that so called saved and true Christians dismiss Jesus' simple command of Lord's prayer.

Lord's prayer is exhibiting humble attitude. That's what Jesus and Christianity is all about.

The teaching on 'the Lord's prayer' was addressed to believing Israel proven by the fact that the Lord prefaced it by saying 'don't pray as the Gentiles do'. This was not Christianity....it was the Lord Jesus' instructions to Israel as they were to transition into the Messianic Kingdom of Heaven on earth.
Christianity began as the gospel of the grace of GOD was extended to Gentiles. The disciples were first called Christians at Antioch, Syria.

thank you for that answer
even though we don't agree
I do appreciate a direct honest answer to a question

are you willing to have a discussion about the reasons you don't say the Our Father?

You can say the Lord's Prayer a thousand times a day and it will do nothing for you if you do not have faith and obedience.

2 Corinthians 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

Paul isn't saying to forget the teachings of Jesus when he was on earth! How could you ever get such an idea? Paul is explaining that we are to regard Jesus as Spiritual and in heaven; and that we are to see each other as spiritual now too.

You think Jesus' words died with him on the cross?

One must trust the Lord after hearing and believing the word of truth, the gospel of our salvation.

Ephesians 1:13-14 KJV, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV

Paul isn't claiming a gospel different than the one of Jesus and the other apostles! Paul is claiming the one and only gospel that the Jews, Gentiles, Greeks, and EVERYONE now is able to be reconciled by to God.

Titus 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

Paul in the letter to Titus is not saying it is impure to tell others to obey Jesus!

Paul told others to obey! Are you claiming Paul was impure?

According to what you are saying that would make John the baptizer a person of impurity for he told people to repent of their sins. John spent much of his time baptizing people and hearing their sins. Your reasoning makes John the baptizer a sick impure person.

When one has trusted the Lord after hearing and believing the word of truth, the gospel of our salvation they are saved and sealed and NOTHING can change that!

Paul says a person who believes that is deceived.

Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

1 Corinthians 6:9
Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men

This is a strange teaching you have, for you claim Jesus said do not pray as the Gentiles do and that what Jesus the CHRIST said was not Christian?

why would Jesus teach us that prayer?

Catholics do not obey the Lord's Prayer. Catholics do not keep God's name Holy, for they call their pope, a mere man "Holy Father". Catholics do not do things on earth as it is in heaven, for the Catholics bow to statues and they do other unholy things. The Catholics do not eat the BREAD everyday, for the Bread from heaven is Jesus and we eat this Bread by obeying Jesus, every day. Catholics ask for God to forgive their trespasses, yet they do not stop their trespasses.

Stop trying to apply "unrighteous" (context which the perversions change) to those who have the righteousness of God upon us (the conclusion of the syllogism 1 Corinthians 6:11 KJV) made available unto all and upon all them that believe by the faith OF Jesus Christ (Romans 3:21-22 KJV).

You have no idea what it meant for them to be "confessing their sins". It wasn't John listening to their list of sins (he'd still be there). It was them being identified in water!

Matthew 3:1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,

Matthew 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matthew 3:3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

Matthew 3:4 And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.

Matthew 3:5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,

Matthew 3:6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.

It was a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins! Look at it!

Mark 1:1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;

Mark 1:2 As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

Mark 1:3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

Mark 1:4 John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

Mark 1:5 And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.
