No, it's not. Voting for a third party candidate is the same as voting for a third party candidate. If person cannot vote in good conscience for one of the major parties then they are morally obligated to vote for a candidate they can support. They do not have to vote for the lessor of two weasels.

Well, we DO know what Hillary is about, and no Catholic can vote for her. In fact, no real Christian should. You may be unsure about Trump, but at this point I have to take his word on Abortion until he proves otherwise.

As for the Church, it has never forced people to vote one way or another. Plus there are historical forces at work in Catholic America which cause many to vote as they do, too complicated to address in this post. They need to do the right thing on their own, not at the prompting of any priest or bishop.

As long as they can maintain it as a plank in the platform, they can keep voters like you voting for republican candidates. Get over it, and focus on what can be done rather than what shouldn't have been but yet was anyway. Feminism shouldn't have replaced egalitarianism, gays shouldn't have been brought into traditional marriage, equality shouldn't have a slant on minorities- but guess what?
