For a lot of your brethren that's no where near good enough. They want control over others, not freedom to exercise their faith. Huge difference.

Control over others: forcing you to marry them
forcing you to celebrate their weddings
forcing you to agree its ok or be fired or attend diversity training

Apparently . . . sadly. 1 day, we will wake up and learn that instead of the gloom and doom that explicitly legalizing S.S.M. feel's like, its actually a huge improvement over what we had before, and a sign of an even freer nation where the Church can exert our considerable influence in fair, reasonable, and even-handed way's, rather than through the threat of "the sword." Romans 13:4 KJV In more "American" way's, I might add . . . .

A good sign, actually. Church and state need to be kept separate with religion never marginalized.

These clerks and judges, do not need to be quitting, they need to refuse and let them be fired instead, then they can file a lawsuit over religious discrimination. Accommodations are given to all kinds of religions in the workplace under the law.

Quitting gives them what they want, dont give it to them, fight for your constitutional rights.

This isn't a normal workplace situation though, is it? It's a public official, not someone working for a private business.

Exactly and the government should be protecting their freedom to practice their religion the same as if they were mandated a certain off day for worship.
