Eventually, MAGA is going to wake up and realize that their archenemy isn't actually Democrats. It's RINOs--the enemy within! They are the ones who committed 9/11, they are the ones who stole the 2020 election from Trump and gave it to Biden, and so on. And so I ask you: How can MAGAs "take the country back" if they can't take their own party back from the RINOs?

Sensible gun control laws are a form of self-defense. They protect us from further gun crime.

I was just reading this morning about some joker in Wisconsin starting his daughter holding a Ruger at age 2. There's something so disturbingly wrong with that. It's not some 8 year old kid out plinking cans on the back acre, it's some dad getting giddy over his 2 year old holding a handgun. These are the same kind who put all their weapons out on a bragging table with a Gadsden flag as a backdrop. It's not a shotgun or handgun for home defense, a plinker for target practice, a rifle for hunting, it's guns are sexy, guns are power, guns are Murica. And it's these same ones who deplore the gun deaths in "blue cities." Well hey, if your red state has lax gun laws, they're lax for everyone, not just those in rural areas. They haven't really thought about how their lax laws apply to cities and rural areas both.

You missed it, Skippy. The facts slipped right past you, and you ignored them. The fact is that 75% of all mass murders and 80% of all murders are committed with guns.

Some of the biggest mass shootings have the same weapon in common, the AR 15. The Sandy Hook, Stoneman Douglas, Robb Elementary school shootings, the Las Vegas shooting, the Sutherland Springs church shooting. There are more. I don't have a total list but it must be out there. The AR 15 should be so tightly regulated going forward, but there are millions of those rifles out there and I don't think either party has what it takes to actively confiscate them.

You mean he acted illegally?

State law 948.60 — Possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18.
(2)(b) any person who intentionally sells, loans or gives a dangerous weapon to a person under 18 years of age is guilty of a Class I felony.

Awesome that a Kiwi is so knowledgeable about Wisconsin law!

Except you didn't read far enough.

948.60  Possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18.
(1)  In this section, “dangerous weapon" means any firearm, loaded or unloaded; any electric weapon, as defined in s. 941.295 (1c) (a); metallic knuckles or knuckles of any substance which could be put to the same use with the same or similar effect as metallic knuckles; a nunchaku or any similar weapon consisting of 2 sticks of wood, plastic or metal connected at one end by a length of rope, chain, wire or leather; a cestus or similar material weighted with metal or other substance and worn on the hand; a shuriken or any similar pointed star-like object intended to injure a person when thrown; or a manrikigusari or similar length of chain having weighted ends.
(2)
(a) Any person under 18 years of age who possesses or goes armed with a dangerous weapon is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.
(b) Except as provided in par. (c), any person who intentionally sells, loans or gives a dangerous weapon to a person under 18 years of age is guilty of a Class I felony.
948.60(2)(c)(c) Whoever violates par. (b) is guilty of a Class H felony if the person under 18 years of age under par. (b) discharges the firearm and the discharge causes death to himself, herself or another.
(d) A person under 17 years of age who has violated this subsection is subject to the provisions of ch. 938 unless jurisdiction is waived under s. 938.18 or the person is subject to the jurisdiction of a court of criminal jurisdiction under s. 938.183.
(3)
(a) This section does not apply to a person under 18 years of age who possesses or is armed with a dangerous weapon when the dangerous weapon is being used in target practice under the supervision of an adult or in a course of instruction in the traditional and proper use of the dangerous weapon under the supervision of an adult. This section does not apply to an adult who transfers a dangerous weapon to a person under 18 years of age for use only in target practice under the adult's supervision or in a course of instruction in the traditional and proper use of the dangerous weapon under the adult's supervision.

In that one, the hero — Stephen Willeford — who stopped the maniac moron (who is dead and in hell thanks to the hero) was carrying one of those scary, dangerous AR-15s.

Yeah he didn't need an AR 15 to do that.

The church killer did need an AR 15 to shoot so many people in such a short space of time.

True...Any number of flat shooting, magazine fed, semi-automatic rifles could have performed similarly...But you will eventually want to ban them as well won't you. ;)

 No...Actually any number of magazine fed semi-automatic weapons could have done the same thing. Long guns or handguns.

Which is what you are REALLY talking about....Isn't it? 😐

You should take a closer look at how this loser administrates his life...I'm sure you could come up with just oodles new rules for the rest of us. 🙄

And what was the weapon in that mass killing? An AR 15 type rifle. And yeah, I don't care who the maker is, they should be banned going forward. Also high capacity magazines should be tightly regulated.

And when that class of weapon is banned....I assume you will look to the next class of weapon which is used by these nut cases to be banned as well?
How long until we get to your .22 or shotgun? I really don't think you "need" a fire-arm.

I know you don't own a handgun so that probably didn't come right to your mind while you were trying to be relevant.

Maybe because you're still reading up on Wisconsin gun law.
You don't know enough about firearms in general to be pointing fingers at anyone's ignorance.

Never said I was an expert, I don’t have to be to know it’s far more likely someone would be carrying a handgun than a rifle. C’mon man.

No, nor is it ever gonna happen. You stoke the fear of the impossible.

And if you think you know what I need, you won’t mind if I think I know what you need?
