Without scientists, there is no science information.

Scientists are fallible humans. What matters is the quality of the evidence they present and whether that evidence has been thoroughly vetted by people who dedicate their careers to understanding the particular field, and whether other scientists have arrived at the same conclusion using multiple independent sources of evidence.

You are so gullible.

Er, no.

Liberals can't handle the fact that Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King, Jr. were both Republicans.

So, they put the word "Democrat" next to Lincoln's name, and then claim because Lincoln was an advocate for democracy, the word "Democrat" next to his name is appropriate.

It is you, and your liberal cohorts who are gullible.

What is being challenged is why you think old rubbish quotes from 1970 are somehow relevant to the discussion.

They are relevant because just like in the 70's, quotes from scientists as recently as 2010 are now rubbish quotes.

Eventually the quotes from scientists today will be "rubbish quotes" in the future because these guys are wrong all the time.

Speaking of quotes, the following quote by Sarah Palin was considered "rubbish" back in 2008 by liberals (bold my emphases):

"After the Russian army invaded the nation of Georgia, Senator Obama's reaction was one of indecision and moral equivalence – the kind of response that would only encourage Russia's Putin to invade Ukraine next," - Sarah Palin - Reno, Nevada on October 21, 2008.

Now, let's compare Sarah Palin's quote from 2008 with a quote from Al Gore in 2008:

" Entire north polar ice cap will be gone in 5 years” - Al Gore, 2008

Um.....who's quote was "rubbish", and who's quote was spot on?

As far as I can tell, that plaque is from 1905. The correlation to modern liberals is virtually nil, other than the desire of some to smear them. http://www.thecollegefix.com/post/15283/

As for MLK, Jr., he was not a Republican. Nor a Democrat. He was non-partisan. Alveda King is a liar. http://mlk-kpp01.stanford.edu/primarydocuments/Vol4/11-Feb-1958_InterviewAtBennett.pdf

"I’m not a politician. I have no political ambitions. I don’t think the Republican party is a party full of the almighty God nor is the Democratic party. They both have weaknesses. And I’m not inextricably bound to either party. I’m not concerned about telling you what party to vote for. But what I’m saying is this, that we must gain the ballot and use it wisely."

"After a week of discussions on the causes of climate change, an assembly of specialists from several continents seems to have reached unanimous agreement on only one point: it is getting colder." - New York Times - January 30, 1961

However, there are people here who want to rewrite history. They can't handle the fact that all the climatologists back in the 50's, 60's, & 70's were claiming the exact opposite of what they are claiming today.

Will you feel appropriately silly if the ice cap does disappear in the next few years?

Disappear?

You do know the Great Lakes are almost completely frozen right now?

(CNN) -- The Great Lakes are almost completely frozen over.

Federal researchers say ice covered 90.5 percent of the lakes' surface as of Sunday.

That's one of the highest percentages ever recorded.

Back in 1979, ice coverage on the Great Lakes hit an all-time high of 94.7 percent.

One scientist says that record could be broken this week.

So, while the Great Lakes are almost 100% frozen over, you still think the Polar Ice cap is going to melt :bang:

I don't know if you know this, but it's winter there. The ice cap melts in the summer. When it's warmer. Stop me if I'm covering anything you learned in the third grade.

Like the last decade, the world had a global warming hiatus for a while after WWII, so the judgement of 'cooling' was accurate for a decade or so up to 1961, when the warming returned.

Did you even read my post? Why don't you acknowledge you were misinformed about the placard and move on? If you can't admit you were simply wrong about something after the evidence demonstrating you were wrong for all to see is presented, then there is no purpose in having a conversation with you.

Might as well add to your signature: "I'm always right, no matter what, nothing you can say or present will ever give me pause. In fact, I won't even bother reading it because I know I'm right".

He's a data denier. He thinks this data is bogus. There's no sense in having a conversation with him.
