Block quotes are for people who can't answer and the parsing thing was never really what you thought it was to begin with...which you mostly did because sod was there to atta-boy it, I suppose.

Meh.
I think your memory is failing. My objection to your parsing goes back way before Res appeared. What I never liked was you or anyone taking part of a sentence or response and using it to put down someone. For example, if I were to say.... You think Alabama football is great. Then you say ....
You think
... snide remark....
Alabama football is great
...second snide remark...

What you are doing is turning the phrases into tools to deprecate others while pretending otherwise.

I didn't post a chronology, but my point was you continued to think you were making a critical assessment of value when you weren't.

Post an actual example of me doing that. I expect I have once in a while, but rarely and only when dealing with someone who wasn't remotely engaging. No, what you just called parsing was nothing like that, which is a bit of my point.

What you are doing is turning the phrases into tools to deprecate others while pretending otherwise.
Nah. I typically respond to points. I don't alter context and I mostly skewer ideas. People? Only the ones who throw a punch. And anyone who complains about getting hit when they've done that deserves to have their head and their motive examined.

I admit you have improved lately. I enjoy it when you use your considerable mental prowess to compliment and lift people up.

You mean my pompous, baffoonish prowess?

Okay, I think I know what this is about and it goes back to the whole hair business with aCW. He thought and probably still thinks that he could get me smiling at him with a compliment, a nod at his perception of my vanity. But he was mistaken. The nod or lighter response he'd get was always a reaction to form, not effect. If someone compliments you, sincerely or not, you don't kick them in the teeth for it. It's bad manners.

But we are who and what we are and no one makes us more or less than that with a word or a hundred.

Yes, that one.

But on a serious note, the next time you change avatars would you please use a current picture of Jack (sans Chapeau). I think he is adorable. I hope you will allow me to say that.
You lost family comment privileges when you tried to use them as a tool to injure me. So I'd appreciate it, again, if you stopped trying to interject them in any sense. I won't comment on it or ask you again.

I know ... what reaaalllly depreciates others is when he goes around referring to them as tards or making claims that they aren't really in the profession they claim to be in. Remember that time that TH referred to another poster as a *pretend lawyer* and you, being the upstanding woman that you are, put him in his place?

Yea, that really rocked.

Chrys can you help MichaelCadry? He is under attack and has been sunk to zero rep.

Eeset,

Mickael just gave me nasty pm this morning. don't fall for his self pity act.

It is just because I did not give him pos rep and I don't give out neg rep to anyone either.

He asked me if I gave him pos rep. I told him no because I was still trying to figure him out.

He started change his attitude toward me ever since.

I don't understand why he is so hungry for reputation or everyone's approval..

Just unbelievable.

Why? I've already given you my answer on going into the subject, its use as a side bar owing nothing to our difference over the Supreme Court and Roe and your running from a simple question faster than Jesse Owens at the Olympic games. :plain:

Beats me. I've read it's being compared to the Arizona law that didn't pass Constitutional muster, but I'm not familiar enough with it to know if that's a fair assessment. The problem with Arizona's law was a twenty week window that conflicted with the generally recognized 24 week viability concern in line with Roe. My understanding is that Texas is also a 20 week standard. So if the Texas law is covering the same ground as Arizona it's likely that it will meet the same fate under the same rationale held by the 9th Circuit, though Texas sits in the 5th Circuit and so it isn't an automatic.

Will it end up in the S. Ct.? Depends on whether the S. Ct. wants to revisit and that may or may not depend on whether the 5th follows the 9th's guiding opinion.
