CALVINISM: The Belief that God Predestinates People to Hell Before Birth.

She does not believe the gospel declared in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth. She believes she was zapped to believe she is an elect. That's not salvation, that's delusion.

The concern would be justified. I really appreciated your and other's threads asking who had called on the Lord Jesus Christ. It helped get to the bottom of some of this with others. It might be a good idea to revisit those threads with so many new TOL posters who have come. In Him -Lon

What you ignorantly call being "zapped," is the saving miracle of "regeneration."

And regeneration is being raised from spiritual death, to new spiritual life, in Jesus Christ, by the power of His Holy Spirit.

It is obvious you have not experienced this new birth. If you had, you would testify to it, giving praise and glory to God for His mercy.

Instead, you deny and ridicule souls who sincerely witness to you of this wonderful resurrection from the curse of death. John 3:1-8

Acts 16:30-31 Romans 10:13 It might be good to rebump a thread or start another "What must I do to be saved?"

This thread would work, but I kind of hate to see anybody miss a discussion on this because they simply think it a Calvinist topic at that point. -Lon

No one receives the Holy Spirit without hearing and believing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

"So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God" (Which is the Gospel) Romans 10:17.

You cannot regenerate your self by what you do.

"Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the (because of what you did) or by the hearing of faith' hearing and believing the Gospel) Galatians 3:2.

You are trying to enter the sheepfold some other way that is illegal, making you a thief and a robber" John 10:1.

Just the opposite is true.

No can hear or believe in the Gospel message, without being indwelt with the Holy Spirit. And this anointing and sealing is the result of His regenerating power.

Regeneration precedes faith . . .

Exactly.

Do you not realize your latter statement accurately contradicts your former?

Some of those who heard and believed Peter's Gospel on the day of Pentecost had participated in the crucifixion of Jesus, Acts 2:36. Now do you want us to believe that those people were already chosen as the elect? In other words you believe that God's people are the ones that crucified Jesus.

I can see from what saith the scripture to us that the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth is the gospel of Christ (1 Corintbhians 15:1-4 KJV) where the righteousness of God is revealed (Romans 1:16-17 KJV). The righteousness of God is unto all and upon all them that believe (Romans 3:21-22 KJV) as it's God's will that all men be saved. God proved it as it was revealed in due time that the man Christ Jesus gave Himself a ransom for all (1 Timothy 2:4-6 KJV)! Salvation is not an experience, but trusting the Lord believing the event that took place in our stead (Ephesians 1:13-14 KJV). No moment of trusting the Lord believing that event that took place by the cross work of Christ and God raising Him from the dead leaves one outside the faith (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV).

Belief in the Gospel is salvation.

But dead people cannot exercise belief.

Sinners must be regenerated in order that they may believe.

Those regenerated (spiritually resurrected) alone, are renewed and gifted with new spiritual capacity (LIFE) in order to believe.

You claim one must believe in order to live the new spiritual life as a Christian.

I say, one must first be born again by the power of the Holy Spirit, in order to live the new life as a Christian.

Corrupted, sinful flesh, only produces sin and corruption.

Until a soul is born again by the grace and power of God, can any human believe and serve the righteousness of God. Romans 3:24; John 3:16

The belief that God creates life so that he can damn it to hell well earn you a first class ticket to hell.

You are professing that God is unjust. You are also blaspheming the Holy Spirit. No one will be saved that believes that God is unjust.

The persuasion of most posters is that He must be.

What a load! Ephesians 2:1-7 KJV

Sinners must be regenerated in order that they may believe.
Romans 5:8 KJV says otherwise

Those regenerated (spiritually resurrected) alone, are renewed and gifted with new spiritual capacity (LIFE) in order to believe.
All this talk using your hijacked definition of regeneration, when the washing of regeneration and renewing of the HG is the Lord's shed on us abundantly (Titus 3:4-7 KJV).

You claim one must believe in order to live the new spiritual life as a Christian.
Romans 8:8 KJV

What a conflated mess you have there. Paul never used the term born again once to describe anyone today. The power of God is the cross (1 Corinthians 1:18 KJV), not John 3:16 and preaching the cross as the power of God/the gospel of Christ is missing from your posts.

God is Just in sending the devil's children to hell with their father Mat. 25:41: Mat. 13:38-39.

What is the gospel of your salvation and when did you trust the Lord after hearing and believing it? If there's never been a moment, you are religious, but lost.

A person can only Hear the Gospel which is God's Words after they are made Spiritually Alive in New Birth, Born of God.

John 8:47
He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

I trusted in the Lord after God gave me the ability to Hear and Believe the Gospel when I was Born of the Spirit of God!

It was all the Work of God, not of myself!

Prov. 20:12
The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them.

Gal. 5:22
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

The devil does not create people. People are the ones that chose the devil. They chose evil.

God said, "I have before you this day life and death, Choose life" Deuteronomy 30:19.

When you chose to believe Calvinism, you chose death.

John 8:44
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Ps. 37:28

For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever:

but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

All the non-elect are the seed of the serpent Gen. 3:15.

Rev. 4:11

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power:

for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created
.

Dan. 4:35

And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

You are always looking for scripture that you think degrades the nature and character of God. The reason that you do that is because Your Calvinist God is a sinner, just like you.

The God of the Bible is not the God of Calvinism, as much as you would like to believe that he is.

When you stand before him in the judgment you will find out just how holy he is. But then it will be to late for you.

And Jesus Christ is missing from your posts!

He is the one who revealed the truth of the necessity of regeneration to the Apostle John in John Chapter 3.

You are idolizing a tangible cross upon which Jesus died, rather than His person and His full Gospel message.

It is a grievous sin to take away from the Word of God.
