    Is death just another life?

You're the one that says I was separated from God.

    Is death just another life?

This looks like it's Derf's thread. Very odd.

    Is death just another life?

Whoa. It wasn't irrelevant to me. Maybe I'm not "the rest of us".

    Is death just another life?

What do you mean you cleaned up the thread? Are you the new FaceBook?

    Is death just another life?

Seeking Him because I was created with the knowledge of God in me. We were created to know Him. I actually believe what Paul has to say, and I know if from personal experience. Romans 1: 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For...

    On the omniscience of God

Oh, I'm making Clete unhappy. Woe is me. I come here in spite of you being here, Clete, because I am long-suffering, and because there are others here who actually aren't pigs. You can whisper in someone's ear and get me banned, if I'm so hard for you to tolerate. That will be a work of...

    Is death just another life?

What relationship would that be if we were spiritually dead because of Adam's sin.? Explain that "relationship" you're talking about. Pot kettle

    Is death just another life?

Before I was saved, my spirit was not dead....it was seeking God. Man is without excuse, and a "dead" spirit certainly gives man an excuse, doesn't it? I was not made to believe or elected to believe, but my spirit responded to the Gospel when I heard it. The reason my spirit responded was...

    Is death just another life?

They are condemned to death. Awaiting the Judgment of God.

    Is death just another life?

Yep, I see that. But dead is used many different ways. The condemned to death is what I'm talking about. John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

    Is death just another life?

So you're saying when we sin, we "reject God"?
  12. glorydaz

    Is death just another life?

Yep, and it's the body that dies. Body, soul, spirit. Man is condemned to death when he sins, but until the judgment.....

    Is death just another life?

Yeah, I see now if we happen to come in after the thread started, we are subject to ridicule. I was actually interested in what Derf might be saying. Had I known you would ride roughshod over anyone who showed some interest and wanted to post, I'd have bowed down to your most excellent glory...

    Is death just another life?

My proof for what I say is in the fact that sinners (dead in sin) can still respond the Gospel of Salvation. That seems to be more than you can comprehend. Quite Calvin of you.

This right here is undoubtedly why TOL is not vibrant anymore.

    Is death just another life?

Once again, you're avoiding the issue of what "spiritually dead" actually means. I totally understand that our spirit will continue to exist after our body dies. I'm merely asserting that our spirit does not actually die when we sin.

    Is death just another life?

But you said, "yes, your dead spirit can respond to the Holy Spirits call and be made alive by the Holy Spirit" If our "dead spirit" can respond, then it isn't really dead, is it? This is the point I'm trying to make. I understand the verse, but it does not say anyone is "spiritually dead"...

    Is death just another life?

Oh wait. I liked your dead but still functioning answer better, except it doesn't really make sense. That is why I say dead in trespasses in sins in NOT talking about being spiritually dead, but being Condemned to death for our sins. But Jesus was talking about the man's dead (physically)...

    Is death just another life?

Ah, so how do you see that our spirit was dead but still functioning? As much as I love you, way 2 go, that seems like sort of a non-answer. Wouldn't that be condemned rather than "spiritually dead" as so many assume? Ah, now I get your reference for the soul. Thanks for clarifying.

    Is death just another life?

Because we respond to the Gospel while we are still "dead in our sins".
