  • I see. Very much all my threads were deleted as well. Lots of things lost, sure it is the same for plenty of other members. Oh well.
Chair of shame. Did he make a negative comment about the Tide? Glad he's settling in and enjoying it. :)
Your "Oscar Wilde" retort to the "G. K. Chesterton" comment was simply delicious! This Flat fiat fellow is enamored of his own supposed hubris!
You don't want to put him in a more challenging environment? Well, it's probably better the way things are. There's a lot to be said for learning to deal with ones peers.
Hi Town! How's the preschool going for Jack? I remember those days like they were yesterday. I couldn't force myself to drop my son off and then leave the parking lot. I'd sit in the car and eat my lunch waiting for a glimpse of him through the big windows. I was a wreck for the first couple of weeks. :chuckle:
Hope you're doing better than I did.
I vaguely recall something from her that put me a little on edge about the same. Can't recall what it was though. Mostly, I sympathize with her stated intent at the top, although less so with some of her subsequent posts. She doesn't seem inclined to seriously engage the subject in any case.
They are always calling me their special guy, which can only be a good thing. :plain:

I'm doing pretty well. We were having some unseasonably cool summer weather but it's warmer this week. Maybe heat's last hurrah before fall comes in. Hope you get some refreshing coolness soon. How has Jack and kindergarten been going?

Yep, I'm excited for this year to see how the playoff works out in its first year. But I do agree with you on how the teams are selected. If they want to do a true playoff then I think they should focus on conference winners.

    :e4e:
I've had it a few times. It's very frustrating. But I seem to be getting a little more engagement from him on the smaller points.

I wonder if he simply doesn't have the focus to follow the responses to the longer articles that he likes to post.
You know, the manners help, but I wish he wouldn't post something, and then simply choose not to defend it without really seeming to internalize the outcome of the discussion.
Has the makings of a thread along the same lines of twisting English:

Mahatma Ghandi walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of callouses on his feet. He also ate very little which made him very frail and with his rather odd diet, he suffered from bad breath.

This made him ... a super fragile, calloused mystic, hexed by halitosis.
I responded to your NFL post. :nananana:

    :D

    Hope you are doing well.

College football starts this week. And then NFL the next.
