Glad you all had a great time. I've been on vacation all week. My usual off days are Sundays and Mondays. So I go back to work on Tuesday. I'm actually looking forward to it as I'm a creature of habit ..

The thread in question (and his blog) is a sad witness of the man's meltdown. When faced with many accurate labels and then selecting "Other", there can be but two reasons: unwarranted mysticism and/or self-righteousness. On his present course stux fits well therein.

Among stuffy Puritans most holidays are anathema and they are always ready to point it out to interlocutors. I just avoid the overly pious chest thumping that happens this time of the year and with clear conscience continue to celebrate the season with all the trimmings, ever mindful of exactly Who and What is being celebrated (Romans 14:23).
