Are you in offline mode or has your computer intermittently lost its connection? This sounds like the cache in the browser is just presenting you what it has retained but you no longer have an active internet connection. Of course, if you can see this response and the condition persists then something else is happening.
In that case, clear your browser's cache and/or all your browser cookies for theologyonline.com (you will have to login to TOL again afterwards). Do not clear all cookies as this will delete stored cookies for your banking, etc. Look for the cookie feature that lets you clear specific domains only. In Chrome: Settings-->Show Advanced Settings-->Privacy-->Content Settings-->All Cookies and Site data-->type theologyonline into the field next to the "Remove All" button then manually delete what shows up that matches the search terms.
