  • It was just such a strange transition. He went from kinda trying to make a point, to talking about something else entirely, but he did it as if he was continuing something, which was momentarily confusing until I figured out he was just changing the subject.

Seems like everyone likes to hate on lawyers. It's so easy, all the stereotypes are already out there, you just have to pick one and run with it, no creativity required. And no actual understanding.
Yes, that is a nice side effect. At times I do think I prefer sports when my teams are bad though. Then I can just enjoy the games without having a loss ruin my day. :mmph:

Nope, that's still showing from the Trent Green era. :noid:

Glad you are doing well. Maybe it's the heat. Who wants to chase deer when it's this hot. :chuckle: Or you could let the critters start eating her food. Maybe that would light a fire under her. Hope the novel is going well.

:mmph: Yes, I'm just SO excited that the new season is approaching.

    How have you been doing?

As long as he can keep you commenting on it, he's happy --- for a brief moment.
I don't find anything to enjoy about Chrys. He's basically no fun at all.
And other than him neg repping me now and then, I hardly ever hear a peep from him.

    But that's just my opinion.
And yeah, his fascination with looking for any tiny crack that will let him feel "on top" is kinda creepy.
Curses to all that have been avoiding me!!!!! Curses I say!

    (((Are ya scared?)))

hehe! I just love this place!
The only time I ever got a funny look was when I returned a bowl of gazpacho soup and asked for it to be cooked...:plain:
I've only been vaguely following the thread but I'll take a look. Sounds bizarre...but then that's nothing new around here. :plain:
Thanks. I just can't believe she can say some of these things without thinking about whether she's doing what she's telling me to do.
One thing that I can say for myself is that at no time in my life have I ever been dead. :p
So astute (as always)! My mom was someone I wanted to please all of my life. She had a great sense of humor and I loved to make her laugh! Now, my children watch me carefully. Any sign of unwellness causes them concern but they try to hide it. I just get lots of calls "How's it going Mom?". I'm blessed with pretty good health and know my limitations. I'm thinking, based all that I have shared with you on TOL, you were raised by some really wonderful people! They did good!
So sorry that your mom is not well. We get old and things begin to slip and slide a little. I enjoyed a wonderful relationship with my mom right up to her death and that sustains me. I'm praying for her.
