Yes, I remember your claim of a slight left lean. But when talking to you, found very little difference with my right lean. Actually, I'm not certain I have any lean anymore, except on Abortion, Gun Control, and a few other issues.

My niece who I taught how to shoot when she was 16 is being stalked by some peeper/pervert who leaves messages on her car at night. The police couldn't catch the person so my niece had to move 30 miles away and have a long commute to work. Unfortunately, she lives in a state where concealed carry licenses are difficult to optain and training expensive. I'd give her a gun but that's illegal, for both of us. (I live in a different state.) So she has no means to protect herself. She works with abused children for the state she lives in.

And the framers of the US Constitution compromised and slavery continued in the South leading to the Civil War. I've heard it said that we lost more men in the Civil War than all other US wars combined. (I haven't personally checked the numbers but I've heard it quoted from multiple sources for years).

We both gravite to the political middle; you from the left, me from the right. There some issues though, even some we agree on that compromise is not an option. I would cite abortion as number 1. You may disagree, but I feel the 2nd Amendment has been compromised enough and I'm not willing to budge on Gun Bans in the name of Gun Control. Abortion is a hot-button issue with me, with Gun Control close behind.

Never annoyed, occasionally frustrated, but patient that time often reveals what is necessary to know and understand. The years have been fruitful in this regard, brother.
