I don't think it's wrong to assume God just didn't tell us His reasons or logic, but if a different system actually answers some questions, it is inconsistent to throw out the belief system because it doesn't answer all questions. Seems like a double standard that I have to figure God out completely but you don't. But there's no embarrassment in not knowing some of these things. There may be embarrassment in not searching them out when we have the opportunity to do so.

Is it a problem for God to know more now than in Moses' time if there is now more to know? You are using your presuppositions to argue against mine. We get nowhere doing that. Try looking at it the other way around for just a minute or two. You don't have to cast off your belief system to do so, just trying to think like an open theist for just a minute might help you understand the topic better.

What do you say we take this conversation public again?

Regarding the logical steps behind God's creative act? Do you think you have that figured out for your position? I'd be interested in seeing it--but not from other sources--from you.

Why do you think something has to happen as God accretes new knowledge from the actions of His creatures? What I think happens is that He acts on what He knows. Why didn't God just kill everybody as babies that are going to sin and not repent? Why didn't God only make people that would be perfect? There are lots of questions that you have no answer for--you stated it the first time we started to converse when you brought out the secret things of God passage. I heard the same thing from Greg Bahnsen.

Some. As I stated, I'm not too eager to get buried in lots of other peoples' works based on a potentially mis-applied label. I read thru your 2-on-1 with Knight. Kinda interesting, but a little two-faced, if you'll pardon the pun, on what "decreed" means compared to the WCF.

I'm willing, but for what reason would you not want your posts quoted? Can we not have disagreements, even heated ones, and be willing to request and grant forgiveness publicly, if need be? I thought your "Huh?..." response was a good one--it made me think about my not-so-good response. I'm not perfect, and I don't really want to give others the impression that I think I am. But I would like others on this forum to think twice about how they interact with each other.

Hi AMR, thought I'd share with you a new awareness I'm evolving. And I believe it to be a result of corporate prayer. All of my adult life I have prayed for control of my temper. I wish to help not hinder those with whose paths I cross. Lately, I've noticed it is not so difficult because the insipient anger with which I deal is ebbing away. I feel absolutely blessed by this.
