Will Hunter Biden's laptop sink Joe Biden's presidency?

Will Hunter Biden's laptop force Joe Biden to either resign or be impeached?

Sounds like the words of an active drug user.
Or a liar. He'd quit drugs by the time he did that "Sunday Morning" interview. I think he would have known if his own emails, photos, and videos were authentic or not.

Interesting that Hunter was able to make millions of dollars in business during a time in which he was too drugged out to know his head from a hole in the wall.

Establishment Republican opposition to Trump is totally covert. Publically, they knew they had to ride the Trump wave because their base demanded it, but privately, they conspire against him. Those Republicans who go public against Trump (Liz Cheney, etc.) are opposed for that reason.

And when I speak of "establishment Republicans" I'm not talking about the crazies (e.g., Guiliani, MTG, Josh Hawley, Matt Gaetz, etc), whose support for Trump is real. I'm talking about the pragmatic wing of the Republican Party, represented foremost by Mitch McConnell. They rode the Trump wave for their own self-interests but they are also more than happy to betray him when and if it is politically expedient for them to do so.

I know which are establishment and which are the crazies, and I agree with you about McConnell. I know McConnell was pushing his own agenda through as fast as he could in the background while Trump was out front lying, grifting, stupiding and treasoning. And yes, some establishment are in a position to throw him under the bus when useful, but the rest are those who don't think they'd survive politically if they did so, and are nothing more than weak cowards.

This is funny, though - you know who was a majority member of the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, one of the two committees looking into Hunter Biden in 2020? Josh Hawley. Would he have let Hunter (or Joe) slide? Highly doubtful. He had everything to gain and nothing to lose by tossing any red meat there was to be found to Trump and the MAGA.

Here's more about Lev Parnas and the allegations Russian security services had material on Hunter before 2020:

Or he's admitting he couldn't remember what he'd done while under the influence. Makes sense. But your mind seems made up, so it's probably a waste of time for me try to convince you otherwise at this point.

Quite frankly, I just don’t care. If the extreme right continues on this vendetta, Joe should just blanket pardon him already.

How could you convince me of that when you don't really know it any more than I do? Neither one of us can read his mind. Obviously, Hunter was in a drug-induced haze when he dropped off his incriminating laptop at the repair shop and left it there, just like he was in a drug-induced haze every time he went on days-long crack-smoking benders. But this raises the interesting question of how he managed to make millions of dollars in "business" if he was in a drug-induced haze all of the time. And how did he manage to compose business emails during that time?

Intriguing! But again, this is just like with Trump. He's guilty as hell and there's all kinds of proof for it, right? So where are the charges?

Convince you to be open to the idea that Joe Biden didn't breach his ethical obligations, first of all. To consider Russia could've played a part in this, second. And that while Hunter made a lot of mistakes, that none so far have risen to the level of implicating his father.

I never said I could. I'm just saying that it wouldn't be surprising that he couldn't remember now what he did while addicted. I won't go so far as to say "obviously" he traveled across the country to leave his laptop with a legally blind repairman though.

I don't know what it's like to be addicted to a drug other than coffee, so I don't know how people move between being under and not being under the influence.

Again, I don't think you're open to other scenarios, and that's fine, I just don't want to spend time on this anymore if you're not.

And again: Josh Hawley? Aren't you even a little surprised? : )

Edit, just saw your last post. At least you're intrigued!

Trump was charged. He just wasn't convicted. Because MAGA.

Joe Biden has not been charged. And so far as I'm aware, Hunter has only been charged with something about taxes, which apparently he's paid.

Trump will always be considered by degenerate leftists to be guilty until proven innocent. Likewise, degenerates will always consider leading democrats to be innocent of whatever crimes they may have committed that most people know they committed.

If this was about Hunter Trump instead of Hunter Biden, would you be of the same opinion?

I don't care either. Can't help but wonder what this is meant to be distracting us from...
The reason why one hand washes the other is that both hands are dirty. This is the thing we need to realize and come to terms with about our duopoly before we can make any real progress.

I'm talking about criminal charges brought by a prosecutor (Merrick Garland), not impeachment in Congress--which is basically just a political show-trial.

That's still in process. I haven't given up hope yet. The Justice Department doesn’t talk about ongoing investigations, but Garland did say something about him being willing to go as high as he needs to get it done. Only time will tell.

I know this is your position. I can understand it even as I won't go so far as to make false equivalences when they're not warranted. We're stuck with some form of government that will always be corruptible, so we work with the best we have at hand, and vote against the worst. So I'd say yes, vote third party in the primary, but in the general, vote for the least harm, because we're stuck with this system. As long as billions in dark money continues to flow into our electoral process, we don't have a chance at anything else.

PRIOR to the Extreme Right’s hypocrisy and ongoing vendettas, I might have given it more consideration. For over four years, the GOP and their master intentionally worked to destroy the country.
