See, like I said in one of the posts. It isn't that I don't do a thing, but that you dismiss it. Here's a flash: I'm not courting your favor. I'm not trying to befriend you. I'm telling you something true. What you do with it is about and up to you.

I take the Bible very literally, as do lots of people.

I read the Bible within its conventions. It isn't always literal. So I don't recoil in horror when Christ is described as a lion or scratch my head when he's called a lamb. If you do, that's your business.

Do you accuse them of having Aspergers, too, or only those who straighten you out on your interpretation?

The Aspergers had nothing to do with scripture. And I was serious.

I have liked many of your responses, in the past, but I certainly wouldn't say I "heaped praise" on you.

You can't really retaliate against someone who doesn't take what you're saying personally. It simply doesn't have the zing you hope it will.

I think you're saying that, but your response, still around in the thread, says something else. You quickly went from humanist thinking to "You're a humanist" and calling me a fool, doubting whether I was in the Body. Recreate it in your mind, but until they prune the thread it's there for anyone interested.

Like I said earlier, if you have a dedicated stalker or a temper ignore can be a way to help everyone out. The brave remark to glory was predicated on one of her earlier comments. It made the remark I commented on problematic.

This is the danger of stepping into a conversation on one side and not understanding the context of the remark. There's nothing courageous about an internet chat room.

Not meant as an insult TH, it was the preface to my following post. To me personally the ignore feature shows only my weakness to ignore a stalker, or otherwise obnoxious poster...I have a few here that I do not engage with whatever they say to anyone whether it pertains to me or not, they are quite literally dead to me, I do not speak to them or about them directly or indirectly nor will I discuss that person with others...they don't exist. I guess I just like to believe that I am strong enough to ignore them to their face without an electronic shield or feeling compelled to defend myself.

Perhaps I am as well. I do understand RM's point. For me, spending most of the time in ECT forums, I just cannot "un-see" what I have read. And when that is something that deliberately blasphemes or ridicules, it impacts me. I try to know my limitations and what provokes me enough to do all I can to avoid it.

I have had a couple on ignore and they were easy to beat when their main point was the seal of the meat. It was like trying to post through a filibuster. That is the only reason.
