ECT Which Gospel?

Why do you teach another Gospel?.... the Gospel is the good news that the Messiah (Jesus) has come and redeemed us from our sins if we believe on him.

So it is not "good news" or gospel that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God? And since that gospel brings life to those who believe it (Jn.20:31; 1 Jn.5:1-5) then how can anyone in their right mind deny that is a gospel?

Having issues with reading comprehension?

FYI, that is not the Gospel of Grace.. which you dispy's seem to teach was preached to the Gentiles.

There is only one gospel.

Or are you so lacking in spiritual discernment that you are willing to argue that the "good news" that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, is the same "good news" that the believer is "justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus"?

Same gospel.

It took years to develop.

Do you think Peter preached the same things in 31AD as he did in 51AD?

Do you think Paul preached the same things in 31AD as he did in 51AD?

There is the gospel OF Jesus--his historically uttered preaching as found from oral tradition of real historical memories passed down after his death.

And then there is the gospel ABOUT Jesus-- the theology and dogma developed by men and women to help them understand his life and death as they would wish it to be.

The mystery was not that their would be fellowship, the mystery is the riches of the fellowship.

Both peoples were now on a new and even playing field.

Both people had to be brought to the field and taught how to play.

Good theology involves understanding the truth of God's word, the Bible.

Do you think at all...

Think about what?

Maybe how Peter and Paul had to learn and grow in grace?

Kinda like when Paul said this......?

Philippians 3:12 KJV

12 Not as though I had already attained , either were already perfect : but I follow after , if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

Apparently the MEV has confused you into thinking they were preaching two different gospels.

Maybe the following version will help your confusion:

(Gal 2:7 NIV) On the contrary, they recognized that I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been to the circumcised.

One gospel, two very different audiences.

I know I don't think like you.

I don't try to make the Bible fit the false teachings of John Nelson Darby.

Right; you prefer reading the biased, self-serving, history of the lost man who sold out his own people to Rome - Josephus - into Scripture.

70ADism - inspired by a lost man read into Scripture.

Speakin' of lost things, let's take a look at that supposed lost 70th week taught by Dispies.

In verse 2 of Daniel chapter 9 we learn that it lasts 70 years, not 7 years like each of the prior 69 weeks.

2 In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

When you understand that it is Jesus who confirms the covenant, not anti-christ, you can see that during the 70 year last week Jesus not only confirms the covenant, but that desolations are determined.

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease , and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate , even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate .

As much as I enjoyed Tet's gymnastics of adding Paul's conversion into a seven year 70th week, This is how to read Daniel with skill.

The understanding comes in with the spiritual understanding of Christ confirming the covenant with many. :)

22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said , O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

Yes I know.

Why do you want to leave Jesus out of that part of the prophecy?

I'm not following you.

Are you claiming the last week of the 70 weeks, lasts 70 years, and not 7 years?

Are you also claiming that week somehow ties into the 70 years the Jews spent captive in Babylon?

This has not happened yet--

Rev 18:1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
Rev 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
Rev 18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Rev 18:5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
Rev 18:6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.
Rev 18:7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
Rev 18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
Rev 18:9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
Rev 18:10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
Rev 18:11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:
Rev 18:12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,
Rev 18:13 And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.
Rev 18:14 And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all.
Rev 18:15 The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
Rev 18:16 And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!
Rev 18:17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
Rev 18:18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!
Rev 18:19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.
Rev 18:20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.
Rev 18:21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.
Rev 18:22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;
Rev 18:23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
Rev 18:24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

This is the fulfilment of Ezekiel prophecies--

Rev ch 19 through to Rev.ch 22--

Rev 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
Rev 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
Rev 21:24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
Rev 21:25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
Rev 21:26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
Rev 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Rev 22:1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
Rev 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
