While the old law was in existence---GENTILES were EXCLUDED FROM GOD and WITHOUT Christ BECAUSE of the law!

Ephesaian 2:12 remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.

So you can see that the OLD LAW DID IN FACT affect the Gentiles.

Under the old law, if ANYONE wanted to be close to God they HAD TO BE CIRCUMCISED and clean themselves and offer animals to sacrifice! If you did not do those things you could not be called a child of God and go to the temple WHERE HIS SPIRIT WAS.

(2:14) For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

Paul is telling all men not by works of righteousness which we have done as in:

"all things which are written in the book of the law to do them" (Galatians 3:10 KJV)

as in "there is none righteous, no not one (Romans 3:10-12 KJV)

as in all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23 KJV)

Paul preached justification freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus (Romans 2:23 KJV, Romans 8:33 KJV)

to him that worketh not, but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly (Romans 4:5 KJV)

according to His mercy (Titus 3:5-6 KJV) and great love we are saved (Ephesians 2:4-9 KJV)

All of His work, even the righteousness of God which is by faith OF Jesus Christ is put to the account,"upon all them that believe" (Romans 3:21-22 KJV) the good news of our salvation (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV, Ephesians 1:13-14 KJV).

Paul says not of works---THAT IS ABOUT the ceremonial/purification works.

Paul would NOT ever say we are saved by faith and not obeying.

The Jews used to have to to do many works to clean themselves by sacrificing animals, just to go to the temple to be near God. HOWEVER, now through Jesus, HE CLEANS us just by our believing he does.

We do not have to work at cleaning ourselves.

WE STILL have to OBEY.

We still have to do what Jesus says and abstain from evil and do right.

You have not addressed why you think that the Ephesians to whom Paul wrote the letter and were strangers to the covenants of promise are not as you say, "true Christians". You are drowning in your useless opinions.

When Paul says NO MORE WORKS---he is NOT saying NO MORE OBEY.

Paul is speaking of the CEREMONIAL works that those works are no more.

The Bible says people misunderstand Paul, and then we are warned to obey. See 2 Peter 3:16, and 17.

We are not robots. Jesus tells us what to do, and we do it, if we want to be saved.

Why don't you do any of what the Lord taught in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John?

Salvation is by grace---grace that we no longer have to clean ourselves just to GO TO THE temple to worship God for that is where His Spirit was, for through Jesus, he cleans us and we become the temple. WE STILL HAVE TO OBEY Jesus and abstain from evil and do right. We still have to obey Jesus we just do not have to get circumcised anymore and do the other purification works to clean ourselves.

When Paul says NO MORE WORKS---he is NOT saying NO MORE OBEY.

Romans 11:6 KJV means exactly what it says. Why does it bother you worker wannabes so badly? You say obey, obey obey, but every time someone shows you what the Lord commanded in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John which you claim is TO you, you deny having to obey it. You are a charlatan.
