For a correct interpretation of Daniel 9 look here: DANIEL 9
"For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of Y-H-W-H our God for ever and ever.".
Micah 4:5
In 458 BCE Artaxerxes authorized Ezra and a large number of Jews to return to Jerusalem.
Gabriel had told Daniel, "Know therefore and understand that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks and threescore and two weeks, the street shall be built again and the wall, even in troublous times." (Daniel 9:25)
From Artaxerxes decree until Messiah the Prince was to be 483 years. 483 years minus 458 BCE brings us to 25 CE. There was no year zero so we must add one year giving 26 CE for the coming of Messiah.
Gabriel said, "And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease."
Jesus' ministry was about three and one-half years so 26 CE plus three years gives 29 CE and another half year brings us to 30 CE.
In the year 30 CE the 15th of Nisan was on a Thursday. (usno.navy.mil/astronomical applications> data services> Spring Phenomena 25 BCE to 38 CE)
Jesus was crucified on Wednesday and laid in the tomb as the Sabbath began. A trumpet signaled the beginning of the holy day Sabbath.
Three days and three nights later Sunday began and Jesus was resurrected.
A Christian here who holds the KJB in high regards. Daniel 9 has been muddied but it isn't the fault of the Christians. Also the mud comes out very easily.
I think you're a little too wrapped up in the Jewish perspective and bitterness that they missed Jesus and killed the Messiah instead.

"What is going on in Daniel 9?"
With the opening of the passage and the prayer of Daniel there are three sets of sevens which represent three shabu`iym yamiym or twenty and one yamiym. If one understands this particular idiomatic language, which is grounded in Torah, the same will understand what it means that Gabriyel arrives at the time of the evening oblation, at the close of the prayer, at the end of the third day of fasting and mourning.
Grace, grace to it.....

Here you can see how the KJV is corrupted for the sake of fitting your messiah into Daniel 9:
About these seven weeks, there is something fishy going on in the King James. The 1611 KJV gives that verse in the correct form: " Know therefore and vnderstand, that from the going foorth of the commandement to restore and to build Ierusalem, vnto the Messiah the Prince, shall be seuen weekes; and threescore and two weekes, the street shall be built againe, and the wall, euen in troublous times."
See here: http://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/...apter=9&verse=
We see there in the original 1611 KJV, that the colon is in the right place, right after the seven weeks.
This is changed around 1800. The accompanying explanation was that they wanted it to be more in line with the christological exegesis.
So they admitted that that translation was corrupted in order to squeeze JC into it.
So if anybody doubted the fact that the Christian Bible translations are corrupted in order to prove Christianity with it, here is the proof.
"For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of Y-H-W-H our God for ever and ever.".
Micah 4:5

why don't you just paste the two renditions and ID them. One without the colon and one with.
So the official KJV version is that Messiah was there 49 years after the order to rebuild Jerusalem. Is that what you think?
Neverminding the fact that this is not how Christ used the material (Mt 24)
it doesn't even put you in the Maccabean period, so it's pretty much trash.

So here we see that Daniel 9, just like Isaiah 53, has nothing to do with the Christian messiah.
"Serve Y-H-W-H! And if it seems evil to you to serve Y-H-W-H, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell.
But as for me and my house, we will serve Y-H-W-H!.”
Joshua 24:14-15
