So, essentially these millions of people should have just upped sticks and moved once there was a possible threat, right? Just as easy as that? Packed up their belongings, given up their homes and livelihoods, gone on the road and hope that countries on neighboring borders would just take them in, is that it? Critical thinking is as much a strong suit with you as understanding and compassion. It's been difficult enough for all of these refugees to find shelter with their homeland under siege, many still haven't and have been unable to move. Many have families where their children require ongoing medical treatment etc etc etc. This is their home. You telling me that you'd be all ready and packed up if there was even the slightest threat to your home? Got family? Got those who need continual medical attention that you wouldn't get if you were on the road for weeks and relying on humanitarian aid?
By your "logic", all of the victims of the third reich, Stalin's gulags and North Korea's prisons etc are all just victims who "should have known better". Nice attitude. The arrogance is only matched by the stupefying ignorance.
