UK Parliamentarian Calls for Tougher Sentences Amidst Alarming Rise in Acid Attacks

Christian Labour Member of the UK Parliament, Stephen Timms, led a debate on July 15, calling for measures to tackle an alarming rise in acid attacks.

There were over 450 such crimes in London last year, a big rise from 261 incidents in 2015. One third of these crimes occurred in Timm’s constituency, Newham.

Last Thursday night, five people were assaulted in London in less than 90 minutes. A 16-year-old boy has been charged with 15 offences, including grievous bodily harm and possession of an item to discharge a noxious substance.... more at link

Anyone want to wager a guess at the religious beliefs of most of the assailants, and why there has been an almost 100 percent increase of this crime there?

Have the attacks been made by people of mostly one religion? I've only read that they think it's gang related.

"they don't have any religious beliefs! And if they do have religious beliefs, they're not connected to their behavior! Unless they're christian extremists like Fred phelps! Just like in america, you rarely see the word black to describe an assailant, the liberals dont want "portray" them in a way that makes them look bad. Yes, its mostly muslims and refugees doing the acid attacks.

The article about Colombia, by the way, only mentions one specific attack. And the attacker's name is José Éver Rojas Espinosa. I would guess he's not Muslim.
