Ah so no actual proof then. More to the point even if he was on PCP he sis not deserve to die for it.

Middletown, Ohio, Police Chief Rodney Muterspaw made headlines when he voiced his frustration at the officer-involved shooting via Twitter (his account has since been made private):

As an officer I am so sick and drained of some cops doing things like this. You are making us all look bad. STOP. #TerenceCruthcher— R_Muterspaw (@RodneyMute) September 20, 2016

Life is precious man. Sorry we don't all agree. Compassion and empathy is eternally important. Just sick of seeing death & hate. #Life— R_Muterspaw (@RodneyMute) September 20, 2016

In response to subsequent tweets, he replied:

Been on that type of call/situation over 100x. You don't shoot for non-compliance. You shoot when UOF escalates. Not hard ... been in that situation 100x….communication, taser, pepper spray…whatever it takes to protect life first[.]

This is at the heart of it.

The sickness of authoritarianism, which thoroughly infects many of the participants here on TOL, and on police forces all across the country, dictates that the refusal to comply with the "authority's orders" immediately and correctly is both a sin, a crime, and a threat of the highest order against the authoritarians themselves, and the authoritarian mindset. And as such, any force, deadly or otherwise, is automatically justified. And will subsequently be justified by any irrational means, after the fact.

Such that we see all sorts of absurd excuse-making from the killer cops and from the many authoritarians posting on this board. As we do with every incident of this kind.

of course, we're not talking about cops shooting people for failing to comply with "I saw you littering! Pick up that gum wrapper now!" orders, are we?

no, we're talking about cops shooting people for engaging in behaviors and actions that threaten the public and the cops themselves

He also has no room to lecture when he wishes we lived under totalitarianism
