Actually, he has a very long, long history of trying out a thing that he might see where it might profit him, only to go back on his word to his partners and pull out when things have looked as if they are not panning out.
This time, he played that with the naive public - who; enamored with the myth of his so called legend his "reality" tv show The Aprentice fooled them all into believing; bought into his carefully crafted hype, his hook, by a known crook, line by an expert in lines, and sinker of many of his own ships.
We're all now possibly stuck with him for four years and might as well hope for the best.
His ever being the innovative survivor of his many self-induced mishaps over the last 50 years or so; his Presidency just might result in some good...even if, by accident.
