Wise choice chrys, your ignorance on the subject won't be noticed by as many here.

Acknowledging that God ordained 3 institutions for the governance of man (the Church, the Family and Civil Government), I'm closer to God when I do my best to strengthen those institutions.

My turn:

Why the discomfort with me discussing in depth homosexual behavior and the agenda that goes with it since homosexuality was decriminalized?

what is really bothering me
is
the time spent here at tol on homosexuality
and
you are leading the way
I get the impression
that
some here think you must attack homosexuals to prove you are a christian
I see abortion as a more serious problem
why don't we spend more time on that?

I've pointed out numerous times that the abortion movement and homosexual movement are one in the same. I have numerous articles on page 1's index in my WHMBR! Part 4 thread showing that they're both part of the "death culture"/sexual anarchist movement. You can't defeat one without taking on the other.

My turn:

I'm bothered by you having as your avatar a Presidential candidate who has surrounded himself with pro homosexual advisors who have admitted that Jeb Bush is for redefining God's definition of marriage.

Jeb Bush has already ‘evolved’ on marriage, and his advisers are at war with social conservatives: analysts
https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/j...n-marriage-and-his-advisers-are-at-war-with-s

How does supporting a candidate that wants to redefine God's sacred institution of marriage bring you "closer to God" chyrs?

the only connection I see between abortion and same sex marriage is the courts and the liberals who have made them legal
so
my single objective is to get conservatives on the court
and
that requires a republican in the white house
and
I believe jeb is the only republican that can beat hillary
I have given my reasons for that many times in my other threads
and
I don't mind repeating them

a republican can't win the white house without a good portion of
the mexican vote
the religious vote
the woman vote
george w proved that
all romney had to do was get the same portion of the mexican vote that george got and obama would have been a one term president
those are the facts

I guess I missed your answer to my above question. Here it is again:

How does supporting a candidate that wants to redefine God's sacred institution of marriage bring you "closer to God" chyrs?

That being asked, I'll respond to your comments below:

So the Senator from Texas should change his name from Cruz to something more Hispanic sounding?

the religious vote

Christian leaders and conservatives alike have endorsed Cruz.

the woman vote

I'm not sure why you think that women would be drawn to Jeb.

george w proved that
all romney had to do was get the same portion of the mexican vote that george got and obama would have been a one term president
those are the facts

It appears that you're ok with business as usual? (i.e. yet another RINO President).

you may never get the right answer
if
you don't know how to ask the right question
but
the answer to your stupid question
is
it doesn't
but
that is not what I am doing
I am trying to get a republican in the white house
so
we can get more conservative judges
and
that should also be your goal
is it not?
we will both be voting for the republican nominee in november
right?
we will never agree on who that should be
no problem
let the debate begin
and
let the voters decide

Why not make yourself right with God and do our nation a favor at the same time?

DON'T support a candidate who openly embraces immoral behavior.

No. I am not.

Is that because of myself, or any inherent righteousness of my own, or due to anything I did, or could do? No. In myself, I am nothing and have nothing. No righteousness, no strength, no hope. I am, in myself, bankrupt, destitute, wretched, miserable, poor, blind, naked, wicked, contemptible, condemnable and damned. As you are. In that respect, you are I are no different.

But now...

I am in Christ. Now and forever. God has declared me as having died with His Son, having risen from the dead with His Son, and am seated at God's right hand in His Son. Because of all that -- because of what He did for me -- I have been forever separated from sin and from God's condemning Law.

So no...I, the new, real me that has been created in Christ, is not a sinner. That is the only "me" I'm to give any thought to because that's the only "me" God now sees.

Your turn.

If it wasn't due to anything you are or did then why are you exempt from the fate you freely and dismissively apply to others? I mean, it's a nice run of pious and 'humble' descriptors etc but effectively just air...

One 'hell' of a contradiction going on there...

Oh great, you want to replace one Harvard lawyer with another.

look
we know you want/need a democrat in the white house
so
when you comment on our candidates
it really doesn't ring true
seriously
so
we actually suspect you may be trying to sabotage the candidates who might beat yours

I have no idea why you would think that. I stated long ago that I could not and would not ever vote for Hillary. I feel the same about Cruz. He is either a liar or he is just plain stupid.

Or ... perhaps a little bit of both ...:)
