No, the senate already takes into account the interests of the state. The EC isn't about the states, it was originally about putting a group of wiser men in charge of selecting the president. It also allowed slave states to use their slaves as voting power while not giving them the right to vote. Eventually that system was modified into a hybrid majority vote based on states. Which at this point in world history is nonsensical. Your only support for it is that it allowed your side to win.
That is a recent bias that came with this election- as with everything else, you all dumb it down to slavery, sexism, or some other thing.
There is direct literature from the Founding Fathers on that directly contradicts you all's revised opinion of the EC.
So in your view Democracy = socialism. That's a new one. :rotfl: "Socialism" as you understand it didn't really exist when the constitution was written anyway. But the constitution does aim to "Promote the general welfare".
Democracy is not some sanctified, holy word- it is a system of government that has the shortest lifespan of any other form in man's history. It ultimately fails.
The Founding Fathers knew this, and that is why they cut America from a different cloth than your beloved Europeans who you really need to pack your bags and go to :wave2:
