The best way to determine if a bill is a counterfiet is to hold it up alongside of the genuine real legitimate bill and compare the two. When this is done it becomes very obvious which is the true and which is the false.
The word "Gospel" means good news. If there is no good news in your Gospel then you probably have the wrong Gospel or a false Gospel.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is good news for everyone that does nothing more than believe in Jesus Christ.
"He that believes on him (Jesus) is not condemned: but he that does not believe is condemned already" John 3:18.
There is no good news in John Calvin's Gospel. In John Calvin's Gospel it does not matter whether or not you believe in Jesus. If you have NOT been predestinated to be saved by a declaration of God you are eternally lost. Predestination is John Calvins Gospel. There is a problem with that. The word "predestination" only appears in the Bible about four times. The word is not related to anyone that has been predestinated. There is no scripture anywhere in the bible about anyone being predestinated to heaven or to hell.
In the Gospel of Jesus Christ God's great love for fallen man is revealed. "God so loves the world (humanity) that he gives his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER (everyone) that believes in him (Jesus) should not perish, but have everlasting life" John 3:16.
In the Gospel of Jesus Christ salvation is offered to all who do nothing more than believe in Jesus. In the false Gospel of John Calvin only "Some Special Persons" (Cannons of Dort) are predestinated to eternal life. The rest are condemned to hell for no reason other than they were not one of the lucky ones. It is not possible to have saving faith in a God that would do such a thing as this. The false God of John Calvin is unjust, unmerciful, unrighteous and is a murderous tyrant.
In the Gospel of Jesus Christ God clothes himself in human flesh and becomes one with us, but not one of us, "The word was made flesh and dwelt among us" John John 1:14. Jesus comes into the world to do for us that which we cannot do for ourselves. In our name and on our behalf he offers to God the Father a life of perfect obedience to his Holy Law. It was the life of Jesus that was lived for our justification, Romans 3:26.
That was not enough. Something had to be done about our sins. Because Jesus was without sin he was able to atone for our sins and not our sins only, but also for the sins of the whole world, 1 John 2:2. Because of the doing and the dying of Jesus he was able to reconcile the whole world unto God. "God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself" 2 Corinthians 5:19. Here is the "Good News" of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. God now sees ALL THINGS in his Son Jesus Christ, Colossians 1:20. As far as God is concerned sin, death and the devil have been destroyed, Colossians 2:15.
It is because of what Christ has accomplished that now, "Whosoever (meaning all, anyone, everyone) that shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" Romans 10:13. This is the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. No one has to be predestinated. No one has to do anything. salvation has been provided for all who do nothing more that trust in Jesus. "That he (Jesus) by the grace of God should taste death for everyone" Hebrews 2:9. Not for "Some Special Persons" but for everyone.
