The average Canadian, who on a per capita basis spends far less on their healthcare system, manages to live approximately 3 years longer than their American counterparts!
Given that "average life expectancy" is widely regarded as an important indicator of the relative success of a nation's healthcare system, one would have thought that examining as to why our Canadian neighbors (with which we share so much in common) are able to get a much better healthcare "bang-for-the-buck" would seem like a "no-brainer!"
In this alternate universe known as "The People's Republic of Trump," however, it is preferable to protect Americans from the 1:3.6 billion probability of being killed from an Islamic terrorist homeland attack, rather than looking across the border to explore ways of extending the lifespan of the average American by 3 years - at significantly less cost!

canada doesn't have this problem, because they just don't have all that many young black males

I watched Robert Reich's Inequality for All as part of a class assignment today. It was excellent, and goes a long way toward explaining why the U.S. is where it is today.
The media is like a giant tick that will suck the life out of any good thing- and damn if that wasn't realized with Trump.
Any little thing, anything and everything- sitting here watching them is a sight to behold.
It's become something of a joke in my mind.
Cravenly going after public opinion, yet they all abandoned their ships when Trump was elected.
When their narrative failed.
And when you woke up the next morning, they didn't know anything more than you did :chuckle:

African Americans are only 12% of the American - a group that was originally brought to America against its will to make generations of "white" masters wealthy!
Try as it might, "white" America can't divest itself from its history of slavery or dodge the question as to why, after the Emancipation Proclamation, "blacks" have found it so difficult to be integrated into the American mainstream!

Yeah, it's just so evil to bring up 'Jewish Americans', right? God knows they should be held accountable for anything, just like blacks and women!
