The Jewish Sabbath Starts at Dawn

The Jewish people start their Sabbath and Days at Sunset .

But the Scriptures clearly indicate that ALL Days begin at Sunrise.

Even Atonement starts at Sunrise on the Tenth of the Month
and God wants the people to FAST starting at the Evening of the NINTH of the Month
so that their Stomachs will be Empty for 24 hours BEFORE THE LORD.

Ex 16:23 And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said,

To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD:

bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe;

and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.

Sit on your chair and read MOSES Words.

TOMORROW MORNING STARTS THE SABBATH DAY.

-- Joh 11:9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day?

If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.

LISTEN TO MOSES
---------------------

De 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna,

which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know;

that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only,

but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

TOMORROW MORNING STARTS THE SABBATH AND NOT FRIDAY EVENING.

Missed Genesis 1, did you? HaShem's day begins at night. You're confusing the concepts of day and tomorrow with daylight. One does not necessarily denote the other. Peace

Was Jesus executed on Nisan 14 at about the ninth hour?

Did the Jews want those crucified to have their legs broken so the men would not hang on the Sabbath?

Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken and that they might be taken away. (John 19:31 NKJV)

Was Jesus entombed as the Sabbath began?

That day was the Preparation and the Sabbath drew near (began). (Luke 23:54 NKJV)

Remember HaShem's day begins at sundown. So it was technically the previous day still, the day of preparation until sundown the day that they crucified Him. So yes, He was off the cross and entombed before the Sabbath which started at sundown THAT day. Peace

The term "drew near" is an obfuscation of the Greek epiphosko which means dawn and is correctly translated in Matthew 28:1.

Joseph knew when the Sabbath began because trumpets announced the beginning and close of the Sabbath.

:thumb:

And how long is an evening or "between the evenings"? What constitutes an evening? What constitues a morning? Everything is divided. The day begins and ends with LIGHT in the kingdom of Elohim. Evening consists of five hours while morning is six plus the sabbasin. :)

QUESTION

1. Did GOD do any work during the EVENING to Morning part of Genesis 1

Answer : NO

2. When did God do work in Genesis 1

Answer : During the Daylight.

Ge 1:21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
23 And the evening was and the morning was the fifth day.

Therefore, The Day starts at MORNING and Ends at MORNING.

Joh 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day:

the night cometh, when no man can work.

DAGG,

READ YOUR BIBLE - THEY KILL THE LAMB AND THEN PUT THE BLOOD ON THE DOORPOSTS

THE NEXT DAY IS THE HOLY DAY OF THE FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD.

Ex 12:5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
9 Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.
--------------------------------
15 Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
16 And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.

Who is "DAGG"?

Exodus 12:6 Transliterated Unaccented
6. Whayah lakem lmishmeret `ad 'arba`ah `asar yowm lachodesh hazeh wshachTuw 'otow kol qhal `dat- Yisra'el beyn ha`arbayim.

Exodus 12:6
6. And you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of this-same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Yisrael shall slay it between the evenings.

The Passover begins with the evening of 14 Abib which is the first part of that new day, (the eighth hour of the day is the first hour of the evening of the next day). 14 Abib begins with epiphoskos-firstlight, which is evening, and consisting of about five hours. The remainder of the day of 14 Abib is the next morning from the first hour of the day through the seventh hour sabbasin-shabbat hour of that day. This is why none of you understand what is written in the Gospel accounts including not even those here claiming to be Jews. The Chagigah is offered the morning of 14 Abib and eaten later that same evening, (which is 15 Abib). The first day of what you have quoted from Exodus 12:15-16 is 14 Abib, (a mikra qodesh - holy convocation). For the same reason the rulers of the people were off by a day in the time of Yeshua. Yeshua and his talmidim ate the Passover at the correct [Essene] time while the majority of the people were preparing for the fourteenth which, for them, had still not yet arrived. When you begin the day at sundown, as even the Jews still do to this day, you end up a day off because you have missed the evening of 14 Abib which had already occurred by the coming of nightfall. The day is divided by the sun when it reaches its highest point in the sky overhead. When the sun begins its downward trek across the top of the arch of the sky it is called "the going down of the sun" and that is when the evening of the next day commences, (officially the eighth hour of the day on an eighty minute per hour sundial such as that of Ahaz). :)

Luke23:54. And the day was ending and the (Annual) Shabbat was closing.

Notes from the AENT:
The Aramaic word here erubata is derived from the Hebrew ereb and refers to a mixing of light and darkness, with specific reference to sunset or the sun declining into sunset shortly.
This word was mistranslated into the Greek as epiphosko.
