2 Cor 5:18,19,20
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
He was imploring them already reconciled, vs 18-19 prove it

That goes to show you that the Gospel is foolishness to some people. Nevertheless Paul was speaking to the already reconciled.

God has already done all that he can do for the salvation of fallen man.
Jesus in our name and on our behalf has fulfilled the law, Matthew 5:18 and abolished it, Ephesians 2:15 and in our name and on our behalf has reconciled us and the world unto God, 2 Corinthians 5:18, 19. All that is required of us is to accept what has already been provided for us as a free gift from God, Ephesians 2:8.
No one needs to be predestinated. No one needs to obey the law. No one needs to join the Catholic church. In Jesus Christ we have been justified, sanctified and redeemed, 1 Corinthians 1:30. We are perfect and complete "In Christ" Colossians 2:10.
Jesus has done it all and he did it perfectly. Renounce your worthless religion, your works, your obedience to the law, Calvinism and trust in Christ alone. When you do, God will give you his Holy Spirit and you will be born again, 1 Peter 1:23.
Jesus saves and he saves to the uttermost, Hebrews 7:25.

Your effort to become saved by some other way than by the doing and the dying of Jesus Christ is worthless.
Calvinism is the devils ploy to draw you away from the saving work of Christ and cause you to trust that you have been predestinated. Religion was invented by Satan himself. Religion causes one to trust in themselves, instead of trusting in Christ.
Jesus is God's new Adam and our new humanity. God sees ALL THINGS in his Son Jesus Christ, Colossians 1:20. There is no other name given among men whereby we can be saved, Acts 4:12. Not in the name of Calvinism, not in the name of our obedience or our works. Not in the name of the Catholic church or any religion.
If anyone is to be saved they will be saved by the merit of Jesus Christ. We have no merit or righteousness that God will accept. God only accepts the righteousness of Jesus Christ, we are accepted only in him.
