Rabbit trail !Christ died for us, that demonstrates that he loves us as he loves himself. Can there be any greater eternal purpose?
More evasion and rabbit trail !When Jesus spent his time on Earth, he would have lived by the greatest commandments, he could do nothing greater. Otherwise the commandments would not be called greatest.
The greatest commandments cannot be a rabbit trail.
You keep expressing your idea of what God's purpose in Christ was and I keep telling you that I believe you are wrong. God did not create humans to be tortured in hell in order to bring Himself glory like some mistakenly think. You never respond according to the post subject. Do you understand God had a Eternal Purpose grounded in Christ ? The World was created for that purpose !
You dont never respond to a post according to what its about, you too engulfed in being an enemy to calvinism !You keep expressing your idea of what God's purpose in Christ was and I keep telling you that I believe you are wrong. There is little chance I can be corrected or a Calvinist can be corrected if either I or a Calvinist does not present, think about, or respond to persuasive arguments for why we believe what we do and why another may not believe as we do.You dont never respond to a post according to what its about, you too engulfed in being an enemy to calvinism !
God did create the universe and all life on earth. God did not create humans to be destroyed in wrath for sinning as though they could have chosen to not be created in sin.God had a Eternal Purpose grounded in Christ,
Sin and death entrance into the world Rom 5:12 was subservient to Gods Eternal Purpose in Christ. It was ordained by Gods infinite wisdom by which He established the foundations of the world and ages Ps 136:5
To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Prov 3:19
The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.
The word founded yāsaḏ:
to found, fix, establish, lay foundation,
to set (literally or figuratively); intensively, to found; reflexively, to sit down together, i.e. settle, consult:—appoint, take counsel,
- to establish, appoint, ordain
- (Pual) to be founded, be laid
Jer 10:12
He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.
Eph 3:10
To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
Christ being setup Surety in the everlasting Covenant of Grace proves that moral evil was purposed and planned prior to the foundation of the world.
God did create hell for those humans who reject Him in favor of sin. The wicked refers to sinners who deliberately reject the Lord's offer of salvation revealed t them by the Holy Spirit. The Suretyship of Christ was , the prearrangement made to deliver the guilty fallen elect subjects from the consequences of moral evil/sin Christ could not have been set up from everlasting, and appointed[Saviour] to appear in the fullness of time, to purge away sin by the sacrifice of himself, had not the being of sin then been fixed and determined by God ! This determination of sin, moral evil would be for the Manifesting of the Glory of God. Prov 16:4
4 The Lord hath made all things for himself[His Glory]: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
Christ died for sinners and not for the righteous.God did create hell for those humans who reject Him in favor of sin.
Remember the flood though.God did create the universe and all life on earth. God did not create humans to be destroyed in wrath for sinning as though they could have chosen to not be created in sin.
God has no pleasure in the death of the wicked but He has no choice but to kill rebels who refuse to repent of their sins and turn to Jesus for forgiveness.Remember the flood though.
Calvinists see God as someone who has no love for anyone but Himself. In their corrupted eyes God created humans for the purpose of burning them in hell forever in wrath for committing sins He designed and intended for them to commit. And Calvinists think God arbitrarily excludes some humans from the foredetermined eternal suffering in hell so those unworthy recipients of His grace will glorify Him forever for burning others in hell while sparing them. For if God had not determined its[sin] existence, it could not have had being; unless we deem sin to be greater than God. Sin was merely according to a much Greater Purpose centered in the redemptive purpose in Christ Jesus for Gods Elect ! Eph 3
The point is He promised to not do that again. Those who burn eternally do so despite God not wanting them to perish. God promised to not do the flood again, so those who perish perish not because God is killing them, but because they are killing themselves.God has no pleasure in the death of the wicked but He has no choice but to kill rebels who refuse to repent of their sins and turn to Jesus for forgiveness.
Calvinists are very close to Catholics theologically, they just have to believe a little harder in what Calvinism believes to get there and cross the finish line. There's a prominent Catholic convert out there today, I forget his name, but he's a former Calvinist pastor. Our own late AMR was a former Catholic, converted to Calvinism. The interplay between Calvinism and Catholicism demonstrates that they are conceptually in the same neighborhood, at least on many matters (certainly not all).Calvinists see God as someone who has no love for anyone but Himself. William Tyndale never converted to Catholicism so the Catholic prelates had him burned at the stake.Calvinists are very close to Catholics theologically, they just have to believe a little harder in what Calvinism believes to get there and cross the finish line.
