It was touted as 95% effective. How many medications are anywhere near 95% effective? Pharma companies sell a wide array of drugs that are scarcely more effective—even according to their self-reported clinical trials—than placebos. The Pfizer vaxx, with an absolute risk reduction under 1%, resembles other drugs in this way. Why would anyone expect that, in six months, researchers could develop a safe, super-effective Covid-19 vaxx, when vaxxes for other Coronaviruses have eluded them for decades?
Nearly 100% of reasonably healthy, non-old people survived infection, without treatment, before any vaccine. Saying the shots keep healthy people from dying from Coronavirus infection is like saying your house didn’t burn down because you had a fire extinguisher in your basement.
The vaxxes haven’t improved outcomes. Reported death tolls in summer, 2021 were higher than those in the vaxx-free summer of 2020. Like a timeshare, the shots are, for the vast majority, an imputed, but not actual, need. They present a wide array of serious health risks without yielding a commensurate reward.
