This is Aorist passive; the Law itself has not changed, but the 'object of change'(High Priesthood of Christ) has changed. Paul explains further in the same passage,(vss 18-19)
"For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. 19For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God."
What Paul is saying is that in order to effect an eternal fulfillment of the High Priesthood role, of necessity there must "a change"; and that "change" is the 'eternal' priesthood of Mechisedek, of which Christ is representitive of. Since He is from the tribe of Judah, He is not "successor" of the priesthood of Aaron, but rather Melchisedek, fulfilling the passage,(Ps. 110:4)
"The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:"
Therefore, Paul is not saying that the Law be changed, this would be contradictory to Jesus's statement

Hermeneutics is mans scientific study of Gods Word. It is a system of how to believe. The problem is it brings God down to our understanding. It doesnt bring us up to His understanding. And the Holy Spirit only quotes verses, He explains verses with other verses. There are spirits in us trying to deceive us and they all speak the same language carnal. So we can discern the Holy Spirit He quotes verses. Now this is the meat understanding of the Word. The milk understanding is done with the carnal language, the meat understanding is done with only verses. Its an unknown tongue to the carnal mind.

Been doing this a long time on various forums. There are many ways those who wish to continue the deception operate. Most engage briefly mock scorn then move on...or ban...but our Squeaky is one of the few here on TOL that is even willing to engage the Sabbath and so through him the message continues is all...
I was hoping more posters would wish to discuss the Sabbath its relevancy but only Squeaky continues and persists...even making new threads about it...and the heresy of "OT vs NT"
