I made a clear distinction between loathing and acting on that loathing in a way that harms others.
Until you're clear on it, no sense in continuing.
Are you still under the old law? Number of witnesses, etc.? Will that work in this country? If you want your religious laws to replace our current system of state and federal laws, then you're a religious zealot.

Under the old law, two or three witnesses were necessary, one wasn't enough. Under the new covenant, vengeance is not yours, it's the Lord's (and you are to be subject to the governing authorities).

No. He was not trying to control anyone. He was not trying to force anyone to believe anything, or to behave according to his beliefs. Jesus was a Jew, and Jews both then and now do not believe that anyone else needs to become a Jew, or follow Jewish religious beliefs, traditions or proscriptions to be right with God. When he spoke about following OT scripture, he ws speaking as a Jew to his fellow Jews. He was not speaking to you or I.

The new covenant is between God and Israel, just like the Bible says. You are not a reliable Bible "believer".
I was never under the law that God gave only to Israel. But the principles that the law was based on are just as valid as ever.
