Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the First Amendment set in place to allow the worship of the One True Elohim? Did the authors have the false worship of false elohims in mind.
No. It was meant for all religions (as Jefferson said). Truth doesn't need to be protected by laws. And as a hated religious minority conservative Christians aren't in any position to determine who gets freedom and who doesn't.
