"Most of us would prefer, however, to spend our time doing something that will get immediate results. We don't want to wait for God to resolve matters in His good time because His idea of 'good time' is seldom in sync with ours.” - Oswald Chambers-

“If through a broken heart God can bring His purposes to pass in the world, then thank Him for breaking your heart.” - Oswald Chambers-

“In every Christian’s heart there is a cross and a throne, and the Christian is on the throne till he puts himself on the cross. If he refuses the cross he remains on the throne. Perhaps this is at the bottom of the backsliding and worldliness among gospel believers today. We want to be saved but we insist that Christ do all the dying. No cross for us, no dethronement, no dying. We remain king within the little kingdom of Mansoul and wear our tinsel crown with all the pride of a Caesar, but we doom ourselves to shadows and weakness and spiritual sterility.”

Yes, and we can be like pharaoh and rule Egypt which is a picture of the world and the ways of the flesh. Or we can deny ourselves and take up our cross and follow Jesus and suffer affliction with God's people, instead of enjoying the pleasures of sin and this world for a season (which is this lifetime) as Moses who had true faith did and when he rejected Egypt and esteemed the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt.

Hebrews 11

By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

This world should mean nothing to those who truly belong to God and we should be partaking in the sufferings of Christ, denying ourselves and turning from sin dying the death to live by the will of God to bring the love and life of Christ to others.

"If you want to know what God the Father is like, what He is really like: Just look at Jesus. If you want to know what the Father’s attitude about sinners, including you, really is, read the parable of the prodigal son. If you want to know what God’s character is like, observe Jesus forgiving those who beat, tortured, and murdered Him. If you want to know what the Father does when we fall short of being the best example of Him toward others watch Jesus as He weeps over Jerusalem because they refused the peace He brought to them.

If you want to know what the Father is like watch as Jesus washes our feet even as we betray Him." -Wardendresden-

“The life that is on a solid foundation is not just one that understands doctrine accurately, but is one that is joined to the Word Himself. It is not just knowing the Book of the Lord, but knowing the Lord of the Book.” ― Rick Joyner

The change that is coming to the body of Christ is so profound that the world will have a new definition of Christianity... Those who submit to Him in truth... will be the most dangerous and powerful people on earth, and will be the greatest threat to the Antichrist spirit that now sits in the church as a substitute for Him. ― Rick Joyner

“They say a good love is one that sits you down, gives you a drink of water, and pats you on top of the head. But I say a good love is one that casts you into the wind, sets you ablaze, makes you burn through the skies and ignite the night like a phoenix; the kind that cuts you loose like a wildfire and you can’t stop running simply because you keep on burning everything that you touch! I say that’s a good love; one that burns and flies, and you run with it!” -― C. JoyBell C.

“The one thing that the Bible emphasizes more than us loving God and people is that God loves us. He loves us first and most. God isn’t in heaven plucking a daisy saying, “I love you” when you obey and “I love you not” when you sin.” -Brian Mavis-

"God has mercy on us. He says ‘yes’ to us, he wills to be on our side, to be our God against all odds. Indeed against all odds, because we do not deserve this mercy, because, as we rightly suppose, he should say ‘no’ to us all. But he does not say ‘no’; he says ‘yes’. He is not against us; he is for us. This is God’s mercy." -Karl Barth-

"I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us." -St. Paul-

"To clasp the hands in prayer is the beginning of an uprising against the disorder of the world." -Karl Barth-

"What happened on that day (of Easter) became, was and remained the centre around which everything else moves. For everything lasts its time, but the love of God - which was at work and was expressed in the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead - lasts forever. Because this event took place, there is no reason to despair, and even when we read the newspaper with all its confusing and frightening news, there is every reason to hope." -Karl Barth-

“The measure of a Christian is not in the height of his grasp but in the depth of his love” - Clarence Jordan-

“God is not a celestial prison warden jangling the keys on a bunch of lifers--he's a shepherd seeking for sheep, a woman searching for coins, a father waiting for his son.” -Clarence Jordan-
